hartyh I absolutely agree Innova needs binning as it’s completely unfit for purpose, especially with the alternatives available now.
However, you could flip your scenario there on its head and say that is the exact reason LFTs need to be continued to be used (just better ones) as there is a chance your friend is positive post infectious, and has been deemed PCR positive on a very small viral load.
That’s exactly what LFTs are there to do - detect people at infectious stages and avoid unnecessary isolation for people who positive pre/post infectious.

We were told mid single digit £ by AS with broker notes referencing a 35% profit margin on that. So we do have an idea of price.
If you then look at what tests currently on sale in the EU are going for it’s around 8 euros so £7 depending on volume so one would deduce a test of our quality can demand equivalent pricing.

So you think AS has gone down the route of EU registration and made the statements at the foot of that RNS on the basis that our capacity is fully committed to the UK? Give it a rest.
In April we were told 5m-30m (which growth was dependent on access to govt machinery).
It’s been made very clear from AS Europe was the focus from day 1 and gov progress has been slow. It’s pretty easy to read between those lines that all capacity will NOT be committed to uk gov.

My argument at least has something of substance deduced from some of the facts we already know rather than just another doom and gloom moan about judgement day and “this is bad news”.

You clearly have no faith here so why not just sell up - or stick to trading it on TA’s in which that case you don’t have to post anything as the charts do the talking for you.

This is a good point ophidian raises. There won’t be a switch “one test off and one on” approach there will have to be some form of transition and possibly parallel use/stockpile period.

Raprap - in the April presentation it stated GAD were already making first commercial batches, so why would there not be any to sell 2 months later?

If you can sell your whole manufac capacity elsewhere at higher prices in the interim why the hell does it matter wyn? All Avacta lose is the near term access to govt capacity but it’s clear AS is targeting that elsewhere. The only people who lose out here are the Uk public having to use these cr*p tests for another 2 months.

Hunky the info is out there to do some crude numbers but for the 99 millions time it’s not about demand it’s about supply.
Worst case IMO 5m per month * 12m * £6 per test = £360m revenue and £126m @ 35% profit margin.
That’s transformational for Avct.
Every extra 5m capacity doubles those revenue/profit numbers.

And Medusa only have exclusive rights for direct to consumer market distribution. Why, when capacity is constrained would they give any of that capacity to Medusa to sell tests to a market where the only route into it is via the govt who are giving LFTs for free (albeit rubbish ones).
It’s pretty simple. There are bigger leads to go after for the current limited capacity. Medusa d2c pointless right now. Unless - behind the scenes AS is enticing them into doing some manufacturing.

At what point have Medusa been confirmed a manufac provider in all the RNSs and prezzos…not at all. But they touted 50m/month as their capacity.
Will they be producing and selling an average antibody test in those volumes? Highly doubt it!
So IMO they’re ones for AS to speak to and look at for manufac capacity. Could be a dark horse.

Capacity is limited - we know that. So why would Avct be tying up any of that capacity for the Medusa site when the test is only ce marked for professional use only and the only route to market in the UK is via the govt. would make zero sense.
For me, this points in the right direction in that it looks like larger orders which need some work on the contracts.
Otherwise they would have just stuck the test straight on Medusa website.
Sorry guys but I think the little businesses won’t be getting a look in until there is significantly expanded capacity.

The slide in the April presentation said work towards home use ce mark was going on in parallel. Only timeline hint was that it had to happen prior to end of year to be useful.
