Andrew, I have no issue with deserved criticism of the company. I have an issue with misrepresentation of company guidance and falsifying what is said during interviews to give the impression that operations are not going to plan.

When I take issue with something, I’m clear about what that is and offer supporting evidence, I don’t incorrectly transpose what was said in an interview to create a falsified impression of company events.

For the record, when you say “because there is not a clear alternative” - you’re aware the “alternative” could be any financial investment, stock market or otherwise.

I feel you’re getting confused and a little lost with your own analogy.

CB categorically did not push the timeline out to the end of the year, he answered a question about where we’d be by the end of the year.

You are misrepresenting what was said by blatantly lying.

Microcap, nothing about that interview is a substitution for RNS’s. It’s not trying to be.

CB made it clear that RNS’s are on the way with full updates on projects but some work towards those releases is still underway.

The interview is not “instead of”, it’s providing interim information on progress mentioned in the previous updates guidance prior to the next news release.

We’re not having a “debate about progress at Silver King”

We have had a clear update from CB about progress at silver king, and then several posters attempting to act like that’s wrong / not happening / shouldn’t be believed.

That is not debate, that is an attempt at re-writing of company comms in order to manipulate sentiment.

Andrew, I’m not simple, there isn’t any need for an analogy, I understand what you are stating fully and completely, I am simply stating you are wrong.

For the record, in your analogy, if it were so disastrous/ you didn’t have confidence in the journey even if you thought you might just get there in the end, you would simply get out of whatever transport you were in, and get in an alternative form of transport you were more confident in, would you not?

Why would you go through that when there is a clear alternative?

You’re entitled to your own view, but I’m not sure why you’re still trying to create your own story for what’s happening at XTR when CB clearly explains production guidance during that interview. The end of the year comment comes off the cuff from one of the roasties and to paraphrase, Colin was quite happy to “stick his neck out” and say both SK & Morocco would be in production by year end easily as that is not the deadline they are working to.

It’s funny to me that the question about where we’d be by the end of the year specifically being posed as “what would you say to the doubters/naysayers” - to which CB’s response was absolute - is now being doubted by you.

So I’m quite excited about silver king starting off as a modest project around 3, 3.5 thousand tonnes of copper…”

As a serious question, can you not see production unfolding in front of your eyes/ears?

Do you intend to just keep crafting negative rhetoric and keep on misrepresenting company comms ad infinitum regardless of progress and clear communication?

Andrew, not sure the disrespect is deserved to be honest.

This categorically is not about me ‘being unable to grasp a simple concept’.

If you don’t believe in the management, the vision, or the news put out by the company, it is objectively idiotic to remain invested in a stock.

There is a plethora of opportunity as a stock market investor - you could be invested in any company, in any sector, so which is it?

Are you invested in XTR because it is the best opportunity you see in the market to make gains?

Or are you invested in XTR but annoyed that you are whilst not trusting company guidance or interviews from management?

You are free to buy and sell as you please.

If there are better gains to be made elsewhere, there is no justification whatsoever to arbitrarily ‘remain invested’ in a company.

Just reposting in case anyone wants to hear with their own ears what CB/XTR have to say regarding how production is progressing rather than listening to a version of events from a bb poster who has repetitively attempted to misrepresent guidance from the company and once again appears to be scripting their own rhetoric in the absence of news.

It’s your prerogative to feel however you want about CB or indeed XTR’s operations Ben.

Though you seem awfully intent on hanging around and attempting to portray blatant operational progress as somehow negative or “behind schedule” meanwhile the company guidance (via RNS and interviews) clearly states the route to production is progressing well.

You now take issue with some of the questions asked about progress by the end of the year when Colin clearly lists the operational progress and emphasises how imminent production news is. Your focus is intentionally in the wrong place and you are coincidentally leaving out the info about current operational progression and timelines to instead focus on an off the cuff question about where we’d be by year end (as though year end is the target).

Do I have to transcribe the interview to show how full of … you are?

If you don’t believe them, why would you remain invested here when you could be taking an opportunity you believe in elsewhere?

Alternatively, you could ‘remain invested’ here even when you feel the need to repetitively state that you can’t trust the leadership or information coming from the company.

Ps. Ben is definitely a shareholder here and in no way, shape or form ever tries to dictate sentiment by misrepresenting company guidance.

Operational progression didn’t just halt the day after the update given in the previous RNS. They didn’t write the previous RNS explaining what had been done to date, give guidance on what the next few months looks like then just down tools.

I can’t give you the ‘evidence’ of progress that the market hasn’t been updated on (I shouldn’t need to explain that I don’t have access to that information until the next RNS is provided), but, for the record, this discussion is almost verbatim a regurgitated version of the discussion leading up to the previous update RNS where ONCE AGAIN it was being asserted that ‘no progress had been made because we hadn’t had an update’ by some posters here and then the progress RNS landed as I suggested it would as per the previous updates guidance.

Several posters here are trying to, without evidence, script a negative rhetoric in the absence of news.

Cynically I see that as an underhanded tactic to obtain a cheaper buy in at a point where likely positive news is, dare I say, ‘imminent’. The jury will remain out on whether I’m right or wrong with that view, but I know where I stand on several posters here.

So, since it feels like there’s a burden of proof fallacy unfolding in front of me, and I’m not the one making the assertion that the sky is falling… right back at you:

I’m not exactly sure why a few of you seem to have decided that no update by a hard deadline of May 5th (that was very much created as a hard deadline by members of the bb) is such an issue.

We are ‘blatantly and patently’ on the cusp of production and the company stating “The operation is within three months of production commencement and thereafter ramp up.” /

“Within the three month period we anticipate that the operation will be producing a copper concentrate..” does not equate to a hard deadline of today. It is also obvious that work will have progressed significantly over the last few months as per the previous RNS. No RNS today (on a deadline day not in fact given by the company) I would suggest, isn’t something to get worked up over.

Some of you are trying (a little too hard in my view) to suggest that no update today = disaster.

This is ridiculous but unsurprising to me… it wouldn’t be traders looking for a cheap buy in by pretending everything is falling apart just as we’re in the period where we’re extremely likely to get positive news that will likely result in material gain of the share price though, right?

It was made very clear that the intention is to provide similar presentations, presented individually, about the various assets/projects with a view to providing each operation with its own, clear, focussed discussion.

Jonathan Morley-Kirk also made it very clear that he is the finance director, and would not be attempting to provide answers to questions of a technical/production nature as it would not be appropriate for him to do so, there are other members of the team with expertise in these areas and these conversations will no doubt take place with the relevant people presenting in due course.

I'll be honest, I'd hoped my trading yesterday would go unnoticed so I could Bed & Isa around the 0.8 mark a few days from now..

I wanted to secure the shares I was after early as I figured others would be looking to 'top up'/use isa allowances over the coming week or so - that coupled with (in my opinion) the likely relatively near term production news made me consider that there are plenty of people watching the tinderbox, but everyone seemed to be waiting for someone else to strike the match. Today's rise demonstrated, to me at least, that my supposition was correct.

Personally speaking, I didn’t need an up to date ‘PowerPoint’ presentation to spoon feed me information that is readily available in order to understand the investment case here.

It’s not about moderating posters to fit into my view.

I’m not trying to play father figure, I’m just calling out over the top views (at either end of the spectrum) for what they are - over the top, and not a fair reflection of the company.

To say a company that’s currently worth £10m is undoubtably worth £100m prior to proof of concept / delivery across multiple assets / confirmed asset sale etc is over the top positive.

To deny any kind of progress and state the company is failing/not achieving anything when there is tangible evidence of it doing so is over the top negative.

Both types of views need reigning in with a bit of a reality check. It’s called balance, Jez.
