Ella, I'm not sure if you're being serious or not but I'd be interested to see your workings / understand where you're attributing value / how much per project etc.
It's fair to say I have my targets set on a much lower figure but if it even came close to half that I'd be laughing...
In fairness to the company Billy, a pretty comprehensive update was given by the company on the various projects within the half year report only 3 weeks ago: https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/GLR/half-year-report-53zurqww9ao0ufe.html
We also had an update on one of our projects due to a deal made a few days prior to that: https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/GLR/sale-of-9-licences-for-us3m-subscription-cu8dy1vk7bje4e1.html
I want to hear about project progression as much as the next investor but it's not like the company is keeping quiet on all fronts, there is plenty going on. The Zinc project is the one I feel the company should be looking to update shareholders on ASAP however it's likely (as per interviews) the plan is being formalised prior to announcing to the market and will be with us at some point relatively soon.
Westlad, having been involved in CB's companies for a number of years you're preaching to the choir.
At times frustrating but by and large movements are in the right direction.
I've got faith that all of CB's plans across his various companies are 'conveniently' coming together in sync with the commodity boom - make of that what you will - CB has made no secret of his tactic of buying projects in metals he postulates will rise in the short-medium term whilst they're cheap and unwanted, developing them, perhaps over a number of years and either moving to production or a sale in line with a rising metals price.
CB got my attention through his other work - his reputation and subsequently this company have also earned my backing.
HairyDavey - As far as I see it from the recent RNS's:
Feb 4th - 12.5m
Feb 11th - 2m
The price seemed on an upward trend through Jan so I'm making an assumption that these recent ones are the main weight on the SP at the moment.
Thoughts?
I understand your irritation Craig, I was in XTR for years before it came good.. some of the projects were delayed and delayed and are on the very cusp of production now, as is the same with GLR.
I'm just saying: CB knows what he's doing and this is mining after all, sometimes red tape moves at a glacial pace.
All I can say is that you either trust the company to deliver or you don't, for what it's worth I do, hence me building a sizeable position here.
Appreciate the frustration at a lack of news flow however I'd suggest there's a lot going on and a bit more patience will be required.
IMO it's pretty unlikely there'll be a placing any time soon and sub 1p is looking pretty unlikely in light of likely imminent significant income and blue sky projects running concurrently.
On top of that GLR seem to have a pretty aggressive buyer around these levels... imo only of course ;)
If Colin's statements from other companies apply across the board then I'd suggest share price appreciation will be the way forward - I've heard him in various interviews discussing how shareholders stand to benefit and questioned on dividends.
He doesn't tend to communicate dividends as a possibility and instead angles for shareholders benefiting directly from the company having more cash in the bank/being able to progress/acquire projects etc ultimately resulting in their shares being worth more.
Could be wrong but he's likely to hold the same views for his various companies imo.
Thanks for sharing HD - I'm definitely keen to hear from the company about the Zinc project(s), I've emailed them this morning asking for clarification after the confusing statement from 1/2 yr report.
Hopefully we hear something soon, I've pretty much finished building my position here now as of this morning so I'm getting hyped...
Morning all, I was just mulling over GLR again this AM and found myself considering the valuations for various projects/income streams - then thought it might be worth asking: have any of you lot done your own cig packet sums on them? / would you perhaps share them?
Particularly interested in income from Zinc and potential worth of Glenover.
Any thoughts welcomed.
Much appreciated both :)
Seems like theres a lot going on here and sure looks like I have a fair bit more reading to do...
If there are any key points / areas holders would advise looking into I'd appreciate links/notes/fingers pointed in the right direction as no doubt it would save me a few hours trawling through every available piece of info.
PS. Can I just say a quick thanks to everyone that's helped me with info so far, massively appreciate y'all giving up a bit of time to lend a fellow investor there benefit of your experience(s).
