The RNS on Leo Koot’s resignation deserves to be criticised because he clearly resigned as he has taken up the Chairmanship at Tulip. Saying his resignation from BPC was for personal reasons is therefore less than whole truth. Pease explain why !

Are we sure BoD have not had a disagreement about future direction? This announcement is too boilerplate for my liking.

Resignation may indicate that oil is found and Leo wants to be free to sell his shares. Or worst case there has been a board disagreement! Chairman always say nice things when colleagues resign.

It would be a big Geopolitical error to permit such a foreign power to control oil in the Bahamas given their difficult relations with the USA and the West .

Given all the shares issued recently its no surprise the shares have struggled to perform. What is more concerning is the possibility of management issuing more & more shares after a major oil find at crazy low & dilutive prices - justified as supporting their empire building Atlantic strategy . If Percy#1 is a success , as expected , shareholders need to push for an exit opportunity at full & fair value.

The Bahamas Government will be aware that these groups like Our Islands Our Future are not true true Bahamians. They may have a few signed up members from the islands but the money and motivation comes from big foreign organizations.
The Commonwealth of the Bahamas is a Sovereign Nation that has a need and a right to benefit from its natural resources .

We might have a whip round if needed. BPC’s day will come.

Its so easy for these Privileged folk to play with their wrecking ball by calling for a JR but a lot of true Bahamians are hurting right now. Oil Revenue is needed as no country can sustain borrowing at 8.75% while it main business, tourism, is flat on its back.

No one wants to get too excited too soon but success at Perseverance #1 is most likely to be binary eg either big or a duster. Success would furthermore confirm Crevello’s thesis on Petroleum in the Bahamas. BPC’s other prospects would become hot properties . A lot is riding on this well. T&T is an irrelevant side show.
