We’re now in Q4 and Genel are publishing the operations and orading Update and holding an onvestor oebinar on 3rd November with the now permanent new CEO -https://www.investormeetcompany.com/
I’ve gone back through my notes from the last trading update in May, and the last investor call after the half year results were published in August. As always with Genel there is a lot they could be updating us on, but I doubt they will on any of it. Can people from this board please register for the upcoming webinar and submit questions on any of the points below. If they don’t announce something new, they really need to start justifying what exactly they are doing…
The last positive RNS was the Somaliland farm in and that was in Dec 21.
Sarta – might get some news on Sarta 6 (already delayed from Q3)
Arbitration – they said in August that it was ‘underway’. Might get an update on this.
QD - Last trading update in May said evaluation of the well and its results is underway, with a decision on licence next steps to be taken later this year. Anything to report yet?
Somaliland – they really need to update us on how this is going especially with the recent reports of an oil strike in one of our blocks.
Morocco - Last trading update in May said farm out process due to start later in the year.
M&A activity – In August they said they were acutely aware that they need to buy income producing assets to replace the lost income from the override and receivables. Have they actually managed to buy anything?
