I don't think lloyds are in trouble as such. More that their new private owners are trying to maximise profits for themselves by thinking about whether it is better for them to shut physical stores and go online only.

The market already knows about these payments. The SP won't do much on Monday unless we get an RNS alongside the payment with further news.

Plus even if there had been appeals, the stock price would still have soared on a good jury award, meaning that PIs could benefit by selling long before Nano actually got the money.

It said in one of the RNS's that the litigation funders have first 'dibs' on the money, so I think so yes.

BBD the only obvious explanation to me was that it was most tax effective to recieve money for assets, rather than money for licenses or royalties.
I haven't looked that up to confirm, but it seems likely to me.

I'm sure BT said they had sent letters a while ago (before the settlement). The infringers there will probably have wanted to wait to see if samsung settle first.
Then if it took samsung and nano a month to thrash out details, I can't see it being more than that for a more amicable license agreement, so early March for any display license news I would guess.

Well I've put an order in for some mhc shares as part of my monthly ISA contribution on the 12th of March, so guaranteed we get positive news that sends the share price soaring in the days leading up to that! Happens every time.
