Actually I would say Sputnik are not even Russian propaganda, I would assume Putin would be too smart to use it. Like Bulgarian Military site reporting on Syria, kind of like the Daily Star in the UK "London double decker bus found on the Moon" and when that came out there were actually many people in the UK that believed it starting all sorts of conspiracy theories. but to get a good idea what is happening look at many of the news information coming from media known in that particular industry and that report on that industry only, not tabloids!....

Fact : Deal has been Done!
1. Russia, USA, Saudi Arabia all on board with Russia and Saudi with 10m a day reduction min. This is GOOD NEWS!!!
Only one country yesterday went against the rest of the world which agreed to Cuts yesterday.... this was Mexico Bad news!
2. Today USA do a deal with Mexico to agree to commit to their planned cuts....... Mexico AGREE! GOOD NEWS!
3. The markets have been closed since yesterday that Meaning the down of Brent and WTI are yesterday (Thursdays) prices. due to Easter break. Friday prices have not moved from yesterday or may be you have not noticed. The deals came today!!!
4. The quotas expected have been achieved..... How can you state that is bad news? Expected 15% of world production everyone on board! Good news!!!

Great news come Tuesdat a strong rise. Tlw oil well placed to benefit.

OIl hedged at 60+ (60% of it), New deal giving them Financial security for foreseeable future. and a rise in the oil prices from Tuesday after deal. The deal will not solve the whole problem but will make a massive contribution to the the solution and should be seen favourably. Tullow better placed than most to benefit. The oil deal is NOT priced in the price has risen

1. because the price was well under asset value
2. The financing being put in place.
3. Big buying from Samual

Tlw is still well undervalued based on the the factors above and now the world wide deal made by the worlds oil exporters not just the Top, USA is involved in a big way and will help Mexico meet its target.

I am sure some of you will complain and try and short the company but really there is nothing to short here.... this is extremely positive and whole lot better than we had yesterday and considerably better than we had the day before.

This is great news all round!

There is another meeting tomorrow. G20 Not sure why oil is down but sounds like a great deal done today.... Probably due to Western Easter, so positions closing. Interesting to see shorters out in force.

I personally based on the current position with COVID-19, oil crash, fall of Tullow to 9 I can no longer see any negatives.

1. RNS shows we are fully financed and can go long term,
2. We still have strong income
3. We have survived at 9p and share priced now up to 24.8p
4. Oil prices are rising and likely to jump to day...... with the meeting.

These are my rational arguments as to why this is a great hold and buy situation short, medium term excellent investment unsure about long term.

A deal must be made today, just how big. Trump, Putin and Saudi need it, Canada has jumped in and a whole load of other countries non OPEC are on board. Just what will that cut be, Not sure they will reach the 10m but for sure any cut will be a great start in the right direction. and stop the over production. I know Egypt has 0 flights, and China are one a week. great for the environment, never seen such clear skies. Chinese companies are just starting to stock up on raw materials so they are expecting an end to the gridlock soon. Many of friends who are Chinese business owners of large factories and trading companies are very slow at the moment but are expecting things to improve in May. Still missing staff who are abroad caught up in lock-downs else where in the world, but most are now back. Lets hope for a great day today, lost a lot of money here and hope to recoup some back..... good luck for those in the same boat

Every thing is open but people are generally not out buying, selling inside China i.e. manufacturing is okay internally but still businesses are going under. I know many Chinese company owners who are suffering big time from lack of business

Who said China was back to business. many businesses have gone under, they have no one to sell to. Stores are empty, foreigners living there are being turned away from restaurants and stores. The industry is no where near operating at even half of capacity..... the only thing open is movement Airport is closed for ALL foreigners 1 plane a week for Chinese citizens from specific destinations.

I reckon Profit taking will hit initially massive gains over last few sessions, shorters are for sure to try and take advantage of the instability and lack of direction before Thursday. Oil up a little but falling was up 3+ now WTI 2.72 and Brent 2.54 No one really trusts the Russians to agree, they did not before and will probably have been shorting the market prior to make a packet when when they pull out.... me being skeptical..... I know but really there is wishful thinking hence up. Tullow for sure will end up rising but initially today (I hope I am wrong) it will surrender some of the gains to profit taking.

By the way airports and businesses will not be opening till 1st June many businesses will not survive others will take time restarting.... this is globally. Over production of oil and a massive crash in usage.... but what about people driving their cars etc.... most countries are on lock down so people are not driving cars. chap petrol maybe, but kind of a dangling of a carrot to a donkey in shackles. granted by mid Jan when things are moving again we hope .... some of those reserves might start to get used assuming a drop in production has been agreed and implemented.

The deal between SA, USA and Russia will probably be moved date again as Russia and SA spar. the falling oil price today shows where this is going. Tullow has risen for a few days now and as such a fall on profit taking is inevitable and of course shorters will unfortunatey have there day probably when the bell rings in the morning if oil price remains low. wti down over 7 % sure Tullow will rise again but a drop to 18 or 18 is definitely a high possibility.

To put that in perspective, the Prudhoe Bay formation in Alaska-the largest producing oil field in North America to date-has only produced roughly 12 billion barrels of oil in the past 43 years. The East Texas Field, which is the biggest producing oil field in the lower 48 states, has produced just over 7 billion barrels of oil since the 1930s.

I do love some of the arguments here, no substance just opinions....

1. End of Petro dollars ... WTF not going to happen
2. Russia are using up their reserves like never before with Virus, wars in Syria and Libya, let alone the money they are losing from oil and the lack of global trade.
3. USA are holding their own and are making money from many sources they have no real issues.
4. Saudi has surface oil and can up or lower their output at will by attacking Russia in Europe they have increased their market share and Russia's has fallen.
5. Saudi just has to upset its people for a couple of months by cutting some of the subsidies and they will be safa to go on for as long as it takes.

Russia ran to the bargaining table when USA brought the deal tweet.... lets see on Thursday what happens, but odds on a deal will be done! may not be the great deal Trump mentioned infact hardly likely too as unrealistic but a deal to reduce is a deal to reduce.... heading in right direction.

By the way What on earth has Iran got to do with it. They are under heavy sanctions and barely afford to run their country... Russia is subsidising them not vice versa
