I sold a 3rd at 804, so completely understand how you felt bobocaca. Others did too. 99.9% of the time, it would have been the right decision. I'm playing it by ear when it comes to topping up again, so appreciate your perspective.
Long-term I believe it will far exceed the current SP, not sure this rise is sustainable with what's going on in the background. I don't think we'll be seeing below 800 again, if we do, it won't be for long.
I note Fool is trying to entice paid subscribers with info on another company with self-repairing tech that they claim *might* be as big as Shopify. Spoiler alert (as they're annoying me!): It's Absolute, a Canadian company: https://www.stockgumshoe.com/reviews/stock-advisor-canada/fools-an-obscure-canadian-company-is-taking-over-silicon-valley-one-device-at-a-time/ Before you rush off to buy in, make sure you read the comment under the piece by JezRush.
Dark's Antigena already utilises self-healing, but self-healing ALL endpoints is the ultimate goal and I suspect that's a large part of what Dark - are working to develop, possibly as part of their partnership with Microsoft. The landscape is changing incredibly fast, but currently to get even close it needs to be embedded in firmware as well as software: https://www.securityweek.com/self-healing-cybersecurity-systems-pipe-dream-or-reality
I'm far from an expert on these matters, so DYOR as always.
Grotty thanks for the link. MotleyFool is living up to its name again, low on fact, high on partially-informed speculation. :-/ Probably still sore they advised readers not to buy DARK when the SP was half of what it is now - Doh!
There's no actual link for their figure quoted, but retaining 92.3% of repeat clients is remarkable in any sales situation, including paid cybersec, more so when you consider the extreme economic pressures of the last year. Let's not forget to take into account the 41% rise in sales either!
Going to comment on this Fool article some more on a separate thread.
Nidec, that's fascinating, have you got a link you can post? We've spent so much time on here tracking the SP, sadly - for me - not enough time discussing the tech.
Dark mentioned getting into privacy protection too and I see that a a huge area for growth, particularly with spying software like Pegasus.
Seaking, I know the Wirral well, grew up in Crosby, just over the water. :-) Hope Cambridge suits you. I wouldn't live in London again! Hopefully those who are able to attend the AGM can do a write up here for anyone unable to get there.
Mike Lynch Raj. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2021/jul/22/british-businessman-mike-lynch-faces-extradition-to-us
No, he can appeal ithe Home Sec decision Seaking and as you said that may take some time. As analysts seem to have concluded it won't have much of an effect on the company's reputation, it's unlikely to cause more than a small drop from PI's panicking at media coverage.
The decision is supposed to be by the 22nd, so I can't help wonder if she's awaiting the results of any Bozo chat with Biden... it's politically sensitive for sure!
Imo, the main danger to the SP is if ML or his wife decide to dump a large amount of shares to pay fines/costs. As they're apparently wealthy and on friendly terms with Dark's management, that seems unlikely. DYOR here as elsewhere though, as just my opinion after a bit of research!
Bye for now JimBeann aka Bronx. Don't give up the day job for acting ffs. :-DDD
