The Usk Project (previously known as Zebec Energy project) located in the municipality of Usk, Wales is for a facility which will have a capacity to process ca. 42,000 tonnes of wood waste per year and a power output of 6.4 MWe. The financial close of the project is expected in Q1 of 2019 with the purchase contract executed shortly thereafter.

EQTEC, together with its partners RAFAKO and EXERGON, is also working to deliver a solution for a second project in Brooke Energy's pipeline. The Company will update the market as appropriate on developments regarding this second project.

MOU with PT. CITRA METRO JAYA ENERGI ("CITRA"), which is part of the Energy division of the Citra Metro Group, a leading group of companies headquartered in Indonesia involved in Energy, Technology and Telecommunications, to supply its EQTEC Gasifier Technology ("EGT") for a 12 MWe power plant in Hanoi, Vietnam. The customer has envisaged the signature of the Power Purchase Agreement ("PPA") and issue of permits by authorities in Q2 2019, with the purchase contract executed shortly thereafter.

Expected turnover for EQTEC is in the range of €20 million - €22 million for the Gasification plant from an estimated €70 million total investment by the customer in this waste-to-energy facility.

Eqtec's main objective is to act as the middle man
Its technology enables waste to be converted to syngas – a mixture of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and hydrogen - which can then be used to produce electricity for the national grid and usable heat as an energy source.

Eqtec’s Gasifier Technology (“EGT”) is an advanced conversion technology which converts biomass and waste into a synthetic gas used to power gas turbines and generate electricity.
The fuel that is used in the EGT conversion process is Refuse Derived Fuel or (“RDF”). RDF is a fuel produced from various types of wastes such as Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), industrial wastes or commercial wastes. Due to the saturation of landfills in the UK, approximately 4 million tonnes of RDF are currently exported to other countries such as Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands for disposal by incineration. The cost associated with this export strategy could be significantly reduced with the construction of gasification plants using EGT

The UK has, over the past 10 years, seen a transformation in its management of household waste. This has been most marked within local authorities as they make the transition from landfill to recycling/composting and energy recovery. Recycling rates increased from c. 10 per cent. in 2000 to 44 per cent. in 2015 the UK needs to meet its 50 per cent. by 2020 target under the EU Waste Framework Directive and 65% by 2035. but a recent report suggested that in spite of all of the tub-thumping from Mr Gove, the UK will miss its targets. At the moment the country is re-cycling 44% of its waste but even to get up to the minimum levels some radical action will be needed.

The World Bioenergy Association (“WBA”) states that waste management is a fast growing environmental business in the world today. Its report on Energy Recovery from Waste states that the annual global waste generation accounts for 7-10 billion tonnes in total, out of which approximately 2 billion tonnes are categorised as Municipal Solid Waste (MSW). It is the intention of Eqtec to tackle this increasing problem. WBA states that the advantages of using an energy recovery from waste system are:
• It reduces the volume of waste up to 96%
• Production of heat and electricity along with solid waste management
• Better sanitation, lower risk of contamination and diseases
• It has climate change impact as producing energy from waste avoids potential emissions from land filling

Hi Happyholder I am not in any Eqt groups any more find they can be a distraction. Profit profit should be allowed to ask questions and we should answer them politely. No PP there is no mention of margins at this stage I expect every contract depending on the size. He did say they would be respectable.
