IPPC Permit confirmed

The Board of Ascent is pleased to announce that our JV partners have been informed by the Slovenian Environment Agency ("ARSO") that the IPPC Permit has been confirmed as fully valid, no further appeals against the permit are possible.

The IPPC permit is crucially important to the Company and to Slovenia. It allows the installation of a small processing facility which would enable Slovenian gas to be sold into the Slovenian national grid system. As such the award of the permit marks an important step forward for our field development plan.

Colin Hutchinson, CEO of Ascent Resources plc, commented:

"I am delighted that the IPPC Permit has been granted and we can continue to progress our plans to develop the Petišovci project to its significant potential."

Our original plan was to produce 35 MMscfd (million standard cubic feet per day).
(i.e. one million cubic metres per day)

So we are now aiming to produce 28% of our original plan.
(but the gas will last a lot longer !)

If we were selling 280,000 cubic metres per day then our Annual Revenue would be £25 million (treated) !
