I have, as a long-standing shareholder, written to you on a couple of recent occasions concerning the state of play at Skinbiotherapeutics where the shares remain suspended.

I have to say that you are all aware of shareholders' continued frustration at a lack of clarity from many previous communications; we were led to understand that future RNSs, etc. would give us some kind of detailed information. I am therefore extremely disappointed at today's "update".

You have in my opinion told me precisely nothing!.... "the Board...announces that FRP Advisory is in the final stages of its forensic investigation and is expected to provide its report to the Board in the coming days. Once the Board has had the opportunity to review the findings, etc etc....it will finalise the HY26 results with the restated (unaudited) FY25 results as soon as practicable."

You have given us no timeline at all, I still do not really know whether you are talking about days, weeks or months before you produce something more meaningful with accurate figures and projections.

I am, as I say, disappointed and look forward to receiving something more meaningful in the very near future.

Another revealingly meaningless RNS - did Stuart Ashman write it?

My comment, as I said, is pure speculation; I hope I am wrong! As Clio and Friedman both point out they MD and DB don't throw their money away. In my case I unfortunately believed all the hype peddled by Mr Ashman and so far it has turned out to be my worst investment since the messy saga of Polly Peck!

How many others here remember that one??

Pure speculation but if, and it's still an if at the moment, MD and DB are in cahoots as has been suggested they now hold 29.86% between them, very close to triggering a compulsory bid.

I seem to recall that a 20% stake can in certain circumstances lead the regulators to examine whether you are acting in concert with other shareholders under the Takeover Code. Any shareholder or the Company can with good reason ask the regulator to do this.

205 does give you the right to: influence strategy in the sense that the BoD have to at least listen to you and you have the right to request board representation

25% or more can block "special resolutions" e.g Changing the company’s name; reducing share capital; or winding up the company. There is no requirement to make a bid.

MD and DB hold more than 30% between them but unless they were somehow to put in a bid trying to prove they are acting as connected parties could be difficult

Net...under the UK Takeover Code – Rule 9....if you acquire 30% or more of the voting rights, you are required to make a mandatory takeover offer for all remaining shares in the company. You must offer to buy all other shareholders’ shares at the highest price you paid in the last 12 months. Under the Code, close relatives — including spouses — are automatically presumed to be acting together "acting in concert" when acquiring shares.

Whatever, Rachel Parsonage please take note that any RNS on Friday the 13th will probably not go down well!

I know it's not quite the same with Investment Trusts but....this is from a writer on Interactive Investor talking about investment trust BRFI....this would be nice to see here and on many other AIM stocks!

It's interesting that since the current debacle began the number of trades and the number of shares traded has gone supersonic. Somebody somewhere must be building a sizeable stake, it has already been noted on here that there appear to have been a number of worked trades.

There have however been no TR1s since MD's latest nearly a month ago before this mess began, does anyone have any thoughts as to what's occurring?

TBH I'd be worried about OPTI selling anything! I have used Cholbiome for years...on 25th November my regular quarterly Cholbiome Order was no. 16958, on 25th Feb Order 17210. 252 orders in 91 days and it's ALL their products! selling nearly 3 every day.

Agreed, with the benefit of hindsight perhaps we should all have been more suspicious, even back then. I somehow doubt though that all the highly remunerated advisors will get more than a slapped wrist.

I'm sorry but that statement needs a lot of clarification You are suggesting that everyone in the Company and quite a few at their NOMADs, advisors, accountants, etc. is guilty of some kind of misdemeanour; apart from SA himself neither you nor any of us yet know exactly who's guilty or otherwise. This has very obviously been brewing for some time and the chances are that some of the guilty ones have already gone.

I also note that those Ashman supporters whose mantra was "let him do his job" and blamed some of us here for him having to spend a fortune on expensive lawyers are strangely quiet today!

Shychap...I'm not sure I understand. The rules have not changed for many years:

You cannot sell shares at a loss and immediately buy them back just to “crystallize” a capital loss for tax (CGT) purposes. In the UK under HMRC rules if you sell shares at a loss and then repurchase those same shares within 30 days the loss is not immediately allowable for CGT.

It may be that MD is under a different tax jurisdiction, do you know if this is the case?

Remember though that Croda briefly touched £100 barely 4 years ago so perhaps not a widows and orphans share quite yet.
