Surely the BOD cannot mess things up this year again.
Of course they can and as no sanction can be applied why should they change.
Buying Lloyds is like having a fear of drowning, catch the the first piece of driftwood and hold on like blazes.Where you end no one knows.
But the craic is good.

On the 29th of October last I said the trading price for the Pru had changed to £13/15 and that the lows of that time would look silly going forward.Nothing has happened to change my opinion, and yes I may play these market swings but be in no doubt the true value is far above £15 and I see £20 coming within a year or two.Quality shares in a portfolio always shine through and the Pru is just that.Good luck to all.

Great to see so many posts from what I call the old timers regrettably 3 or 4 have not posted of late.The sentiment of all is good luck for the future and it shows that we will be here to the end in the underlying hope that all will end well.It will hopefully and the fact we can argue hard and yet unite says it all.Proud to be a small investor here.

Don`t forget a balanced portfolio, there are a lot of other places and things to invest in other than the stagnant footsie. What is to say dear old Singapore won`t be a far better bet.
Horse manure, peat, soil and tree chippings have all out performed the footsie.
But then Lloyds has longevity and a track record of losing more money for PI`s than most.Nobody here really cares and why should we.Enjoy the craic and running on the spot.

You are spot on the money, it isn`t your fault that others cannot see your accurate and sensible train of thought.

May I suggest that we form a Charity for Bank Directors to ensure they are financially able to maintain a livestyle that equates to the product of their work.The effort, forethought and planning they have put into Lloyds for instance year after year denies any superlatives.Simple things like free shares or options at a knock down price or inadequate at present and should be tripled,plus salaries and pension funds treated likewise.It is not as if shareholders cannot afford it given the excellent SP the Board have delivered.
To put it in a nut shell lets pay them what they are worth,a relaxation to allow more leave from the day to day rigours would also be appreciated.We cannot expect these Titans of the City to accept anything less.

We all know this is a period annually when volatility peaks.So use it wisely don`t let us fall into the bad ways of ignoring our own advice and knowledge.If a share is good or bad going forward it will not change due to certain dates arriving on the calendar.Cool heads required so don`t feel obliged to trade for the sake of it.

Oh, what a great deal doris got us.Not a complaint just a truthful observation that people get what they deserve in life.How proud the 24% must be.The fact the top Conservatives fund contributors are bailing like rats of a sinking ship,by way of buying Cypriot passwords.The Magna Carta needs a rewrite which will be no trouble to the Minions that have already been obliged to sell their souls.
How some convince themselves there is fair play in these Islands fools me.

Always surprises me when future planning of a Company takes place that a nose dive in SP occurs.Yes it costs money and that will reduce the bottom line for a period, but surely to be proactive for the mid term future at least is worth it.The expansion in the US and our ability to get a big slice is all important and worth waiting a while longer to reap the benefit.
It is important to be equipped with the necessary products and implementation skill.Giving the people what they want when they want is always good business.
These comments are not made for XLM alone but business in general.Planning is not done for quick day-to-day profits but for solid long term gain, something that too many businesses ignore for the reason of appeasing shareholders.
