People that think buybacks and dividends will ever take the place of a quality and aggressive business plan are living in the twilight zone. The best they can hope for is a buyout.One day investors will see the future of Lloyds is behind them,just imagine what would happen if Brexit causes a drop in house prices and the economy in general.Oo la la , buybacks and dividends would be history quicker that you could say adios.

Livestock,I know only to well and stated when I bought at 48 and sold at just over 66 clearly on here in my posts.The problem is AHO has had no influence on these shares only the daft buybacks and has never in the last 5 years provided a plan for short or preferably long term development.The BoD are just as guilty they spend their time fire fighting small legal matters in court rather than doing what they are paid for.Their handling and lack of knowledge regarding what was to be paid in compensation was deplorable and still is. So is the point I make often as to how the claims were ajudicated.So much was their ignorance on the matter that they chastised twice by the Government.
One positive example of a business please, that`s all I ask from people getting paid millions doesn`t seem unreasonable to me.I know the vast majority shout "divi" but should they not be shouting "dipsticks".
A big Company deserves a lot lot better.

The phrase the "great divi" can only be used by Lloyds shareholders of a peculiar intellect in an effort to console themselves from reality.
Just look at and compare the return from Lloyds in comparison to the market over the last 5 years and the wisdom of holding Lloyds is very thin.Even comparing with the last week should highlight the obvious.
Until we have a CEO and Bod with a plan for the future the SP will continue to go nowhere.What other footsie Company with a declining value over recent years would allow the leaders get with away no comment on the efforts and direction they are taking or intend taking to right this floundering ship.
This outfit is not fit for purpose and it will be interesting to see what happens come the end of the month.

Working tax payers need to pull their finger out and increase their output.Riding around on trains for half the working day playing games on the phone in aircon luxury will not get it done.They need to understand they are working to provide for the rest of us and take a leaf out of Doris's book and get things done.The way that man worked over the Christmas period is a shining example to us all.Tax paying workers should stop crying put their shoulder to the wheel accept willingly that tax needs to rise by at least 50%, how else will we be able to become a top third world Country.
