Thank you, since 20th of June I have been away from home for 8 weeks. Now back.All my own fault, but all being well I will be back to normal in a further 6 weeks.

I have been directly invested in the above stocks and indirectly through SMT and some other investment fund for a long time and have been reading about the big shorts.Are they over bought I feel yes, but any time I think about selling one of them comes out with results better than expected.
One thing I know the better a share does the more likely it will be shorted.
My instincts say sell, greed I am afraid keeps me invested.

HeresHopin, do we really have competitors? Given PPi will cost 20 Billion , the opposite would have been unreal.I don`t know if the losses were compounded or not but the Balance Sheet loss of 50% would have taken most Companies out of the equation.Yes there are indeed competitors but Lloyds have proven the softly approach resuscitates.If the BoD continues with cautious Banking and a fair wind this is still a great share.

As we sink closer and closer to full trade wars and their known outcome,it surprises to see the S&P reaching ever greater heights.Americans and ignoring history is nothing new but the net has trawled long and deep this last decade.The catch will go into cold storage and I cannot see the thaw in the future.
Supposed statesmen/women if around show little appitude for honesty to the people.The World Bank stays below the paraphet, the IMF has the foresight of tomorrow`s red tops and the G7 shows the stability of an unpinned grenade.
Houses rent don`t buy, cars Pcp, all other items Hp( massive expansion area)and even Wonga needs a short term loan.
To me its not if or when, its belly up now,and the beggars already have the prime positions.1987 was a disaster for me and many others.This time I will not survive and wonder do I want to?

Anybody selling has to understand there is now no safety net and market value has to be re-established.Lloyds is too big and always in the spotlight for such nonsense to slip past market fund managers.
I repeat as often before we need to take genuine growth opportunities as they occur and build an ultra strong dividend policy in this 12 month period before PPi ends.A year from now we should have fund managers saying,the problems are in the past,the base super strong the dividend highly supportable.This is a Company that got pushed around in the naughties and it must not be allowed to happen again.
It will not be easy as Brexit at best will be used as the never ending excuse for failure.But we have a great opportunity,so lets regain lost integrity and the profits will follow.

I would also state get PPi out of the road and we have 2 rock solid profit Companies ,3 when the Pru split.These are not the stuff Of lord Hanson & White.What matters here is that they both do what they do best.
I am a holder of Pru and would be out of them and LLoyds like a shot if this materialised, which could well happen.
Just my opinion.

My opinion is that Lloyds in the main lend money to make profit percentages above what they pay for it, and protect themselves with security.
Insurance/Assurance is somewhat akin to gambling for or against what may or may not occur. Protection through Re-issurance of course it taken at a cost.It is a diversification of natures and the higher Management seem always to believe it is easy.Building Society`s also have a nature of their own and will leave that to others better equipped to explain.
When the flood gates were thrown open to all to inter mix that Imho was when the wheels came off and the gloss from our highly valued institutions and the decline of our financial bonfire was set alight.
LLoyds should look for banking expansion oppurtunities elsewhere and the Pru should resist vehemently.

59p,you may well be correct but I feel a line is being in the sand at present. Imho if it goes to 59p for any sustainable period i would expect further drops and therefore would wait to top up at even lower.
Lloyds at a resistant 60p is a totally different matter for the short term future, a Brexit deal viewed positively could add 30/40% and many here welcome that.Whatever this is a period of recuperation.

Seems to be the Chinese all the way for EV`s.Personally i would like the Western World to get more involved as competition should help us.Imagine if battery power could be extended by 50% and likewise retention.The figures normally published neglect private dwellings and that is a massive market with potential for family savings of the highest.
Time will tell,as I believe Volvo owned by Geely intend going EV`s 100% shortly and that will further advertise Lithium in the workplace or pub.
A period of sitting on our hands now required ( nothing new) and positive anticipation all that is required.I always expected a very good Jorc, buy even if the mine area is truncated and therefore SP somewhat subdued, long term it may well fall to our favour.An ace in the hole so to speak.

Recently I have stayed off this BB in the hope that many would stop falling for my taunts.But O no they went and took on others and received a good pants kicking.They cannot see the losses they incurred and indeed revel in them, further more they believe they have above average IQ`s, when the rest of us know being average and a some common sense is the real personal attribute for profitability.
Oh how I miss Whiteace, a shareholder who fought each argument to the death and knew his stuff. A real adversary who fought with facts and not a wet behind the ears corner boy.
I will retire to the lounge, the people I refer to should just retire.
