Auson if I was AHO I would keep taking the money and shares as long as the gravy train keeps running and the shareholders are stupid enough to allow it to continue.What I would not do is crow about it,to gloat about such a pathetic performance isn`t clever.
Now if you ask what I would do differently as a CEO I simply would have went for expansion like the large American Banks rather than stagnation.I would have increased dividends and never have allowed buybacks.I would have set up a team to investigate all PPI claims as honest and accurate.I would accept the CMA are not to be trifled with and provided annual reports on time.I would not touch insurance/assurance Companies with a barge pole they are totally different businesses and given quarterly updates to shareholders. I never would have made such a bad estimate on the cost of PPI. To could go on for days.
I basically would have done my Job.

Budgeted 3 billion for PPI in reality 23 billion closer to the amount needed prior to closure date.
SP has performed well.
The man has totally lost it the only thing that has done well is his ever increasing salary.
In real terms how has 10 thousand invested here done compared with a footsie tracker?
