@Trenners 'When someone brags they've made a load of money shorting into results, selling before results were announced, buying back after the share price has plummeted after results'
It look slike you have directed the short at Aimless; and the sell before results and buy after reulst at me. If this is correct, I would like to say that I sold out of Capita on 6 December (check my posts on that day to see why), which was well before the Capita results on 17 December. You will see from my posts that I did not comment on Capita between 7 and 17 December as I was well and truely 'over it', however, I continued to post on other discussion boards. I did not say I made a 'load of money' when I sold out of Capita on 6 December, the fact is a made a small profit (my sale price was .175p), not huge at all and I have said as much since then - so please do not put words into my mouth. I had already diarised to follow-up on the Capita results on 17 December, I thought the sell-off was over-done, so I made a few small buys of £10K each as I was concerned the share price would drop further over the following several days and due to the BoE rates likely to be on hold (which would not have pleased the markets - ths turned out to be correct). I waited and then significantly added to my Capita stock holding when it dropped to .136p (check my post for confirmation of the same) - it was a no brainer for me. However, I still took a risk at .136p, as it could have dropped further, and may still do so. I am not saying for one minute, I planned this...I was fortunate in hindsight to sell out on 6 December.
If you read my posts, and check those dates as well as times dates on the LSE, you will see I am completely above board with the above and it all rings true. The problem is that some people believe what they want to belive without fact-checking previous posts etc.
I cannot prove I have my new Capita stockholding at well under .14p, nor do I need to do so. However, I have already promised AImless that when I sell, I will let him/her know well in advance and sell in one lump sum. I am quite happy to let you know the same when the time comes. Facts are facts.
