RE: Capita is going up4 Feb 2025 21:10
To state the obvious, the trend for Capita is now on the up since 9 January 2025 to date. A number of savy investors have started to notice that the Capita share price is severely undervalued, and have started to buy/build/add Capita shares to their portfolio in plenty of time to catch the inevitable climb upwards.
Capita's share price ought to slowly climb to a more reasonable 19-22p in the near-ish future as most of the 'unknowns' are indeed now'knowns'.
So what about the all-important March results?
AH will do his best to ensure Capita's KPIs in March are positive as that will mark his 12 months at the helm. These results will be heavily scrutinised by all and sundry. The market will look for positive signs that the future is bright with regards to the sales pipeline, AI and technology-driven solutions that earn 6-8% margins and are 'repeatable', debt is manageble (i.e. low-ish), and the cost savings of £250 million (a huge number which is higher than Capita's current market capitalisation!) is firmly under way.
However, sales revenue will likley be lower vs last year (March 2024), which is to be expected (by those in this discussion board at least) given that Capita has sold off parts of it's business and chosen not renewed certain contracts all of which are either unprofitable or not in line with the 'new' Capita.
That said, savy investors who like to invest in future-growth stocks like Capita will know that the lower revenue 'base' declared in the results in March 2025, means that as some of the over £5 billion in sales pipeline is converted into new sales/business/contracts (combined with 'rollover' contracts), means the new and repeated sales/revenues shown in the next set of results in March 2026 will be positive in percentage terms (i.e. vs the same time the previous year in March 2025).
AH has made it clear that the Capita ship needs to be fixed, and then and only then, will Capita look to focus on increased revenues. AH is no fool - in fact I would describe AH as 'a smart and quiet high achiever'. Terefore, I predict that AH will direct his sales team to ramp up increased sales/revenues after March 2025, and a few contracts may even be 'held back' until April-May 2025, so that the next set of results in March 2026 show increased revenues (i.e. vs revenues shown in March 2025). Now that would be a smart move by AH...
In summary, AH will present a solid set of results in March 2025 and his KPIs will be achieved. However, AH knows that markets like revenue increases quarter on quarter, and year on year...so the lower the sales/revenues are shown in the results in March 2025, the more impressive the revenues will be in the next set of results in March 2026. We all know what that means...as soon as Capita's sales/revenues start to rise, so too will its share price. Why? It's obvious. Declining sales/revenues is the only 'elephant' left in the Capita room! Once that elephant leaves, the Capita share price takes off!
