My best rec is BRCI as its quarterly and has a broad base of good quality stuff under it and in the early 1's and ex next week it's right on the nav too. Or shell B below 21 is a constant winner for me this year with about 5% back up quarterly if it goes horribly wrong. Also gsk below 16 a steady one and quarterly payer too.

It comes down to what you're comfortable with mate. Sometimes its best to spread the risk across sectors as well as shares but clearly the miners are top value at the moment I'd say,followed by utilities. Fixed the truck yet?

I know as I've got a few but they're on my add list along with just about every miner,utility.....can't recall so many regulars being in buying range?

Well I understand how frustrating it is to work all those years and have the goal posts moved because successive governments are incapable of balancing the books,it's annoying that the onus falls on those who work to work harder in my opinion!! I don't understand how it works with lse but unless someone is using foul or blasphemous language I can't see why they would ban as 'idiot posters' effectively ban themselves as no one would talk to them surely(please reply ha ha!!!!). Hopefully they see our stuff as friendly and informative debate and frankly we've always been open to on-topic discussion on the old girl(bby) but what is there to talk about. Evening guys. One thing worth bearing in mind is that four or five hundred points has come off the ftse in the last month or so which is reflected in our p/f values. When all's said and done we want to make money not lose it and if your p/f is heavily weighted towards miners AA that's because you instinctively see good value in that sector. Mining stocks normally lead the way on the rises and drops so when it changes direction which it will(when and from what point is the big mystery!!) then you'll reap the rewards. Personally my focus is more on maximising yield than capital value but the sipp is my playground for risky aims as I've got five years before that becomes relevant(probably longer if they fudge the dates again....no one ever gave me a straight answer on that by the way,a private pension at 50 suddenly becomes 55,what's that got to do with the government?). Netley was one of many bby gang members and extremely knowledgeable on shares but he seemed to get into a few problems here and there and got banned which is a shame. Langyy I don't understand as he always seemed popular with everyone and didn't rise to provocation from the little I've read on the boards but I guess we must respect the will of the owners of the boards as they provide the service we use for free,just seems a shame as I miss both of them in their own ways.

Glad I didn't buy in the 130's. They recovered massively today,I should have bought more at 81 and a bit!!
