As you say, many of us have often paid over the odds in many companies but entirely accidentally !

Of course, we don't know the whole story. There were two buyers - had it been me wanting to buy around 100m WRES shares, I would have tried to get at least half on the open market first, but there is no evidence of any heavy buying the last few weeks.

Hopefully, it will all become clearer one day.

I am a great believer in Occam's Razor and indeed it might well be as simple as that. Ever since the RNS came out, I have been thinking under what circumstances would I buy over-the-odds in any company and I didn't come up with an acceptable answer.

Talking about WRES, no clues that I can see except for the faulty circular logic of why did they buy them !

I really was trying find any scenario for the purchases ( not specifically WRES) but apart from Kev’s suggestion (in his case, why not just give an interest free loan) I can’t come up with anything new.

Yes, it's plausible but as far as I am aware, WRES is not a charity, so presumably the donors want something for their money, which takes me back to my post.

It has been suggested that if you bought on the open market, the market would soon notice the buying and the premium would disappear, but that would depend on how long a time you could afford to make the purchases over. If you are in no hurry, you could probably get most of what you want under the premium price.

You are so confident that the sp is going so high that the premium will soon be negligible compared to the sp. If that is the case, why isn't the rest of the market seeing the same signs ?

What about if you knew something that other people didn't ? Could be treated as 'insider dealing' so probably not worth the risk.

What about thinking there may soon be a takeover bid / buy-out so you need to get your holding quickly ? Much more difficult to prove 'insider dealing' then but you need clues that that will actually happen. Are there any ?

I'm sure there are many other scenarios but that's a start.

It is a fundamental tenet of project management that whereas you can sub-contract some or all of the project to a third party, you must retain overall awareness of the situation. There are therefore two scenarios for the Allmineral fiasco:

1. MM knew early on that the project would be running late and therefore there would be a hit to cash flow and production. AT that point, he should have informed the market immediately, which he didn't.

2. MM didn't know how bad the situation was and therefore was guilty of mismanaging the project.

Neither paint him in a good light. On the plus side, I always said he was a good salesman and persuading anyone to buy WRES at the moment at 0.5p is a fine achievement.

If you are calling me a liar, do so openly and it will give me great to pleasure to see you banned again. I can give proof of all my transactions in WRES which will show a net profit of over £10,000 if you continue with your libellous comments.

Commiserations, Oldie. I did the same in April. It was a shame after holding for so long but there are too many negative factors which show no signs of improving.

langtro - I was not a trader; I bought with a view to holding, then sold only on bad news (of which there has been a great deal). I said in April that the risk / reward had altered so I sold my remaining holding. Totally consistent. As for 'bashing' the company, you can't look at any of my old posts as they have been deleted, but you won't find any attack by me on WRES since I sold in April.

And finally, langtro, please do not accuse me of telling lies (or porkies as you call it) without proof.
