I have to admit to being sucked into buying a bit more this morning (not sure why my trades don’t show yet / not large 50k shs total).

This time round I’m being much more conservative, won’t hold an average above 13.2 (brads option strike) or exceed 162k shares.

I got really carried away in this before the model changed but still think that 10p / 20 mill mcap good value. Might not have bottomed so it it dips a little more I’ll take another 62k and that’s my lot (he says blatantly trying to convince himself!)

In fact larger investors will sometimes just hold on way down to avoid incurring further taxable gains.

The buy and hold strategy prob feels less risky to some or less hassle/time consuming. Each to their own as I’ve said before but it’s simply not a fact that on AIM it’s a sensible strategy In general. I can’t take any AIM stock seriously anymore, AIM just provides the type of volatility that gamblers want.
Buy and hold on FTSE with divi’s? Maybe but even then why hold FTSE at 7k if you think it’s heading to 5k? Anyway I’ve said too much on this subject, don’t want to cheese off the good people of buynhold too much.
Aside what price do you see the feeding frenzy at the bottom here this time round.

To be fair everything is getting splatted. Nothing holding up well in this market.
That’s why we all like gold at the mo, but even gold has tanked today ahead of Boe wind down tomorrow and the potential for more chaos.
I thought gold would hold up better than it has but the worse the economy gets the more I like it as an asset

Omi would be a compelling case study in terms of “buy and hold vs trade”
Makes a mockery of just buy and hold; the trading range is huge and aside from spikes every year it’s generally downward pressure for the majority of months

Or 4. people that see advantages in taking the risk of being out in return for banked profit, better avg prices and trimmed positions.

Dfs didn’t string along their holders with a fake narrative though.

Not trying to talk it down as I’m already underwater from 13. In fact another leg down on the SP and I’m intending to buy a little more.
Just think Brad is calling all the shots only when it suits him and then Passes the buck on stuff that’s important to holders though not important to him.
Very selective in terms of when he wants to push boundaries on protocol (disproportionately generous option Package awarded to himself with AIM holders votes against it blocked) and then wants to hide behind protocol when it suits him.
Slippery as an eel but even in spite of my attitude towards Brad and the potential upside I feel he has capped the current SP is starting to look cheap again/good entry level for value

He can play the game indefinitely because of the JV’s he added on. A prime reason for his “strategy” imo.

Yeah agreed. If it wasn’t for the elephant in the room and I don’t mean elephant oil I feel the SP could have kicked on a bit with the 400k jorc target (although it’s only a target and anyone can set a target imo) and the much more appealing assays but until the elephant leaves it is what it is.
After selling some last week my avg back gone back up to .5’s but i just can’t mess with this anymore until there is some evidence that % of value created can exceed dilution %.
Kutzz I’ve read about 1p parties, if this ever gets back to .75 I’m throwing a break even party and your top of the invite list!

At what point does Brad start providing timely, efficient and full updates (the type the SP needs)?
Does the “accelerated expiration activity” equal accelerated update rns?
Or is just more activity reported quarterly?

I also agree with you that the funding for arg & Brazil is not (I hope) a near term concern but it is like a cloud that hangs over Omi.
That cloud wouldn’t exist if Brad didn’t intro other projects which he is funding off the back of Colombia.
All that said the market cap is getting silly again imo.
Sentiment is against these plays but once it creeks back in Omi is one of the explorers that punters Ell flock too again

I half hoped there was going to be some follow up rns from the co. to try and sustain SP momentum but wasn’t to be.
I can’t see Brad making too much of a nuisance of himself for updates before he has banked the 2 mill.
Don’t complain to the water until your food has come!
