Thanks for sharing Lottie. See this is a query I made sometime ago.... how is this not contravening rules on state aid to private companies? I think Stokey countered my belief at the time that we could get government grants etc rather than placings. I also queried it with infa and was told this form of funding wasn't available. Many months later we have been diluted by 2 placings. Being in the EU was muted as a reason. Then breaking WTO rules was a reason. I think the simple fact is our government has been unwilling to provide support to industry whilst others are happy to do so. I now trust our politicians even less than I did before I went to bed if that was possible :p on a lighter note, loving the big metal lifty thingy comment :D
To add:
Accordingly the net proceeds of the Placing, expected to be a minimum of approximately £8.3 million will be used as follows:
• £4.0 million to satisfy performance bond required for phase I of Saipem contract;
• up to £2.0 million for necessary capital expenditure to ensure Saipem contract can be carried out; and
• £2.3 million for additional working capital to support enlarged business.
So the 2.7 mill received above the 8.3 mill outlined above hopefully stands us in good sted for a bit.
Not that we would know that given we have just hit a 52 week low in share price as I type. FML lol
Agree Lottie (and Nobby) but think your figures are short a bit? 9.6 mill raised after expenses with institutions, then 1.7 mill before expenses via open offer. So maybe we got 11 mill in total or thereabouts?
Maybe it will make them reflect on treating us better and putting their own money in. Hopefully it's a bit of a wake up call for them
I like the sound of that bubble!
What are the odds on an ML decision arriving soon to boost the sp?
Generally speaking the comments from those articles are from very well read individuals who certainly know their onions. It's very positive that Belfast and appledore is being given serious consideration in my view. Makes a change from the usual anti team resolute rhetoric of the unions et al. Nice find loosegoose thanks
Sorry for posting twice, it wasn't showing first time so thought the link was prohibited! Happy Friday all
Fantastic news that competition is finally open. The timeline of 2 years is likely incorrect. This article explains very well what's needed in terms of timelines

This website is ace. See link for info on timelines. I think the mirror article is also a misprint. The current fss ship's won't last past 2024 without significant upgrades. Great to finally have the competition back open! Thanks for posting.

Not too difficult bp, you just need to look at the time and scroll down to see that sells were at a lower price ;)
Gutted Si, I don't really understand market mechanics but I now suspect that's all it was. Still, onwards and upwards. Have a good evening all
It's obvious to me that Prince Charles did the large after market purchase :D
Exactly oldt...other than Joe biden, there's nobody else who can visit to raise the profile more. Well aside from the queen herself. Si...yatches are definitely the way to go lol. Next step after that will be phalanges ;)
Check out twitter. Some great pr too from the Clarence House account. Surely all this has to come good at some point. I do fear the placees are selling as much as they can at any price above 30. Which basically means we are stuck in this range for a long time yet
Great info Lottie thanks. Just shows how much government can assist industry when they have the will to do so. Let's hope Boris and his shipping tsar Ben Wallace can take a leaf out of Japan's book!
Hi bubble, yes I received a notification several days ago via x-o (linked to Jarvis investment). They also appeared in my account pretty much day after the placing was announced. So it's all ready to go for me
Cheers Stokey much appreciated. I recall triumph have a ship currently being built in Croatia, so they must have some avenues. Although I understand why it's not in any forecasts - it's more of a very nice cherry that may be on the cake at a later date. Thanks for the recap chitta, JW also said he spoke to Boris last week reminding him of his appledore pledges. Time will tell, let's see if so moves at all today :)
Hi stokie and all, I joined 5 mins in so missed the LOI bit, care to elaborate? By the time it got to my questions he said he'd pretty much answered the triumph part lol. So, did the answers give u confidence we will land the LOI?
My interpretation of the roadshow was again, lots and lots of potential contracts, but we just need to get them over the line. Potential for renewable work alone is absolutely huge. I'm not completely satisfied that they have been in a closed period for so long and in my uneducated head the placing would have been an ideal opportunity to purchase some?
So, infa is a great opportunity for anyone buying now in my opinion. The experience of being a lth still however leaves a decreasingly sour taste. Here's to a good future for all!
Agreed Tango - the lifeblood of any aim company is news, especially contract wins, whatever the size. Hopefully we get a big piece of the pie from that article too! Thanks for posting mcadder. Have a good day all
