Thanks for posting Stokey. I've mentioned before and raised it with the NI MPs direct...if only they had such fan fair for the rebuilding of h&w. Scottish MPs back Scottish shipbuilding to the hilt but I hear very little coming from the dup MPs. Let's hope the new shipbuilding strategy name checks h&w, I'm quietly confident it will given the times Ben Wallace has name dropped appledore and Belfast.
I woke up early and excited for the 7am rns alerts to flood in..... turns out a day earlier than I should have!
TTNY, thanks for sorting the winner of the competition, I was miles off in the end lol. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all
I think we are clear of any further placing for a few months yet mcadder. Unless it's for something truly huge (fss) which would pay for itself many times over. I know what you are saying though and I have that quandery myself. I guess IL way up the option nearer the time. Do I bail when (if) I hit break even or do I keep it going and risk further dilution (unless a credit facility breaks that cycle). Who knows but I think we have all suffered enough to deserve some company making good fortune and shareholder value at long last! :)
Lol you didn't leave much else to not dispel Stokey :D thanks for the clarifications. I haven't kept up to speed lately due to disillusionment. But that's starting to wain. I feel the next few months at least can only bring good news. There, I've said it, I've now jinxed us. Gla
Hi Chris I eagerly await 7am every morning for life changing news. A bit like a kid anticipating the holding of a balloon, most mornings it pops before being handed over.
I was expecting news on the award of the national flagship yacht before year end. It still might come but I don't think it will come before the now delayed national ship building strategy. Also a debt facility could be announced anytime so that would be nice.
Big news in Q1 if not mistaken is the 1.5 billion fss contract plus the carrier maintenance contract. And I guess we will find out if a judicial review has been granted for the ml.
As a rose tinted PI that was a decent interview I think and Donald did well to get the difficult questions in around placings and bonuses as well as airing the mood of most of us. If, IF, JW is true to his word then we will do well, if we get a credit facility in place to stop anymore placings in the future. Time now for JW to regain some integrity and stay true to his word. Contracts and credit facility is absolutely key for us to not be diluted into oblivion. Good luck all
BMT design fits well according to UK defence journal

Kept out of the debates past couple of weeks. Thanks Lottie and Stokey for AGM feedback. I'd happily get rid of JW but feel we are stuck with him at the mo. As I am in this share lol.
Keep safe everyone and here's to an upward sp from here! Fingers crossed
If the company fails Lottie I loose tens of thousands. If this company fails it's down to JW for the sham of a businessman he has turned out to be. We need him removed and someone who knows how to run a business and maximise shareholder value to take charge. Look at his past 2 30% discounted placings for his ineptitude at getting a deal. The man needs to go and hopefully I can make a break even at some point. Absolutely shocking behaviour from him to pump the price (and lie) before a placing. Question is, how do we get rid? Reputation is now zilch which doesn't bode well for contracts including the flagship.
It's right here plain as day. They lied to us and to the market

No clarification needed thordor, JW is a lying bar steward and has mislead us. Surely this is grounds to get rid of him?? He's sold us all down the river and this is the final straw for me. He needs to go asap. Where's Adrian pol**** when we need him?!
Lol si...never a truer word spoke and I'm all in on this one
Definition of a LTH = bought too high and got spiked.
Stokey the latest scillonian documentation stated within 5 months from November (from memory). And yes flagship next month...but why no mention of it in the rns?
Another point someone mentioned... islandmagee is valued at 35 to 50 mill retained. I wonder if that's based on the value of the 2 caverns (120 mill) or the 7 caverns (300 mill +). There's a big difference here. If the latter then jw's bargaining ability and business acumen is p.ss poor and we should have gone with vitol all those moons ago. Remember we apparently put that deal on hold to get something better. 35 mill of 300 is sh.te! I hope it's just for the 2 caverns otherwise we have a complete Muppet in charge. Rant over, sorry folks :)
On a positive note I do think the company is turning the corner, and dare I say even has an exciting and successful future ahead of it. Sadly it's at our expense once again. Gla
Sorry to be raising this but reading the rns there is no mention of either of the above? Have we missed out? Seems very strange to not mention them. Lottie I appreciate your views but I too won't be participating in the open offer. Might have a change of heart before tomorrow. Can't believe the discount is 30 percent yet again. So much optimism I had before that rns but JW has screwed us once again, and"thanks" us to twist the knife! Gutting. Gla...we might need it 2mo.
Wise and Stokey...250 mill national flagship is my guess?Scillonian 4 and national flagship coupled with Elizabeth class maintenance are the 3 big ticket items this side of Christmas hopefully. Plus anything else in the world of fabrication and renewables that in could land anytime
OT thanks for posting. I seem to just be thanking you lately! I think Poots answered very well given the adversarial questioning. I'm a bit disappointed no member stood up for the obvious benefits of the project but hey ho. I gain confidence in what Poots said particularly around everything being considered in line with the precautionary principle and for me I believe the department and Poots have made sure the award of the ml, as much is in their power to do so, can stand up to any litigation attempts. Time will tell. Gla
