I think it is just good business to buy the building - the finance director is a sharp cookie. Can’t think it makes any difference re a take over but I think it does suggest continued growth and optimism (measured as ever) - we will see shortly!

Sadly the UK with its new government has some pain to go through before its ministers learn it takes time to transition (as we must) but to do so too quickly will impoverish its citizens leading to all sorts of other problems including, potentially, civil unrest.

That is absolutely right. They are only spending some of the sale proceeds on buying back cheap shares which is an excellent use of capital, paying off debt and no doubt some support for their existing businesses

I think the new ceo has done an excellent job so far. Made an excellent start in turning this behemoth around
