I've been looking at N American-based Tier 1 OEMs to try to work out who might be the likely partner for CAP-XX in an auto project. Of the Top 50 Tier 1 global OEMs, 11 are N American-based. The dream partner could be Johnson Controls Inc from Milwaukee, who are the world's largest auto-battery producer and make one-third of the industry's batteries every year for every type of passenger, heavy- and light-duty etc. vehicles. Naturally they have a large R&D function and manufacture lithium-ion based solutions as well as traditional lead-acid batteries. Could the Tier 1 Auto OEM and the next licensee be one and the same? Cummins Inc. in Columbus, Indiana also look a good outfit.

I think this is a little cautious from IC. The company is planning to prune its affiliate network, true, but that’s s tiny part of the business. And no business would spend so much on its IT development that EPS growth reduces from 25% to 8% or so.

I agree AFC will look to retain control of electricity sold into the grid - absolutely. But for diesrl-power-replacement (especially) in situations where there is no grid - that’s a different situation.

I’m trying to think through how AFC will attack the diesel power market. It might be big but it’s not homogeneous and is spread across every industrialized nation. Is it more realistic to think AFC will license the technology to manufacturers who are already in that space, potentially with different partners in different regions? Does it really anticipate becoming a manufacturer of multiple systems across multiple territories, each with their quirks, regulatory frameworks, respected brands etc?

Wouldn’t PLACE on the 10kW cartridge make perfect sense? After all, that’s the basic building block. Then the Stade Kore testing is really just ensuring the BoP works proprerly...?

I don’t agree with the argument that AFC may be too late to the party, for two main reasons: the Chlor-alkali industry hasn’t made any real use of such solutions to date, as I understand it; but more fundamentally, what’s being developed is (hopefully) a highly competitive, clean, large scale power generation capability that sits nicely into the overall energy mix. To say the latter is all wrapped up and the renewable energy landscape is more or less set in stone can’t be right.

What are people expecting to hear in terms of progress on results day? Me, I’m hoping we’ll hear that the 10kw unit at Dunsfold ran perfectly for 1400 hrs and is deemed to have met PLACE targets on a 2 year basis. A De Nora warranty by end-March would be a bonus. And then Kore testing has commenced / is about to commence.

I was just flicking through the last QNL again and don't think I'd read this sentence properly: "We are confident the results obtained at the Company's Surrey offices will be mirrored at Stade, and this operational evidence base will further validate and enhance the credentials of the Company's system TO ITS CURRENT LIST OF PROSPECTIVE SYSTEM ROLLOUT PARTNERS". So there's a queue just waiting for the credentials to be proved......!

Recent posts on this board show what a joke it has become and why so few people bother to post any more. Mostly it’s SL using it for his personal vendetta against Karim and the rest of us have to suffer his bitter ramblings, despite him not owning any shares. Unfortunately others get dragged into these ridiculous conversations and round and round we go. Is there any chance we could have some insightful posts from genuine investors who are really interested in where the company is going? Anyone got anything to share?
