When I refer to Going it alone I meant taking Iclaprim as far as it can before doing a deal not to actually commercialise it alone although that is still an option in US

Yes it is risky to go it alone but MTFB have achieved that so far and of course by overcoming the risk you get a much better reward.
As Upchuck says my money is on a deal with a Hospital revenue generating Company.
Why GL said at AGM if you go with another Late stage AB Company then you have issue of 2 product launches close to each other which can be problematic.
Also less chance of competing messages if products in same space.
Cheaper commercialisation option as already have contact.
Only my thoughts but uochuck knows this space and has good insight into Seeking Alpha type of approach

First AGM attended and have been to couple of other meetings but not always easy for me to attend but stay in regular contact.I like the opportunity to chat afterwards not so much for additional information but tonsense the confidence or any change in emphasis. One other bit is that they are waiting on results of CFF funded study before providing an update.regarding progress.

Were you the guy who asked the middle lot of questions ( possibly Scots) andcwas talking to GL before I collared him or one of the others. I asked more towards end and specifically on tie up with Company’s in a similar space. Spoke to GL for about 30 minutes after meeting and yes a few things reinforced what you said Re big pharma. I knew from previous conversations about how late stage big pharma come in and know of GL connections to Merck etc but it as obvious talking to him he knows all the guys in this space and has ready access to them. The fact that the EMA Approval will take a longer time is very useful in that it allows time for a global deal to come in. GL also spokevabout the pendulum for novel ABs moving very much in our favour and highlighted eg of Melinta. Do not underestimate the importance of timing and the mood of the market. It reaches a tipping point when the movers and shakers accept that you can do it on your own.They are naturally sceptical but we are rapidly reaching that tipping point imo but will have to wait a while longer but once NDA is accepted the clock really starts

I am old enough to have watched Dennis Lillee field on the boundary at Headingley and the fans were throwing cans of beer at him but only gently. As to the funds themselves there are a host of pre commercial activities you have to do not just Hiring MSLs etc but huge amounts of pharma co vigilance operation. Obviously depending on any partner deal this requirement may be reduced but the dilemma as always do an early but a poor deal or wait until you get a much better offer. By waiting you can’t just do nothing and hope and that requires cash

They will raise funds if the opportunity arises and it was oversubscribed and a couple of particular U.K. institutions wanted to byybin as well as Invesco and SG wanting to take more shares. There was not a specific question relating to timing justvthink it was available and as we have seen the SP does not always rise with good news such as NDA submission. Know also the 31p level is a bottom at which they wanted to raise. It also puts them in a much stronger negotiating position recUS commercialisation if they have cash

Hanibal.The reason why they don’t need to do a ROW deal soon is the length of time to complete ENA Approval. I did not realise how long that would take hence the primary focus on US which is by far the largest market. That is what the Nasdaq listing is all about the future. Look at Melinta to get an idea of a priven pathway and gives MTFB a lot of confidence that it us a great tune to get a novel AB approved

Tobias.The question re HABP was asked by another PI. The response was they woukd not go ahead until funding is finalised which they expect to come from a partner.It is still planned for 2H 2018.They also confirmed that the vast majority of the funds required for HABP will be end loaded hence less need for money at the start of the trial. I also know separately the provisions of the 21st Century Cures Act May reduce the requirement for a ful phase 3 programme.This can only start once an APproval is secured fir another claim like ABSSSI. They admitted the US volume is low and they need to do more to increase their presence in the US markets. They are happy with analyst coverage but need to do more.The identity of the US investor who took the AMP shares just under the 3% threshold hence remains unknown is I believe a very well known US investor. Wil be interesting to see if them and possibly UK funds issue any future TR1s.

Agree Upchuck. I asked the question about the timeframe for partnering with a similar type Company ie producing a different AB. GL responded by saying you want to avoid the 2 Launch situation close together. For eg if Company A had an AB due for launch in Q4 and Iclaprim was planned for Q1/019 then you could argue it was not a fully effective partnership as you could have the team focused on 1 area say UTI and then have to switch effort onto ABSSSI that is not ideal. That is much more difficult in hospital setting than say with CABP and GP equivalents. That is why I think a tie up with established Company operating in hospital setting with full pharma co vigilance systems etc already set up would be key imo

The only circumstances where they may consider raising more funding would be if they decided to commercialise in US themselves. This very unlikely imo as it is not their preferred option andthey also have option of postponing HABP. They are exoectingHABP to be paid for with partner funding. As Itsg said the interest of some well known institutions is evidence of great support. I also know that the 31p level is a particular level where the institutions do not want to drop below and would not support any future raise lower than this point.

All passed with big majorities.Only one interesting one was Director remuneration.110m vs 29m Will do this in bits and may jump about a bit. Small meeting 6 PIs and MTFB/ brokers etc about 15 in total. RM did not turn up for personal reasons so GL chaired meeting. No presentation just questions. Have begun process for EMA and will submit MA in 2H of 2018 but takes about 12 months to complete review and decides 1 month afterwards so no European Approval until say Q3/4 2019 so is longer than I thought. So no decision on ROW partner needs to be taken for some time.Still to select best option NDA acceptance would be clear signal to potential partners. Re HABP.Not comfortable committing before funding sorted but fully expect this will come from partner deal. Re US partnering still preferred option and had productive discussions and ready to advance some of these. Personally feel this is more likely to involve a. Company already in hospital space rather than one with late stage AB. Issue of having 2 launches too close together Could possibly involve M&A. So global deal which would come at late stage is still an option. US presentations making real progress with analysts but not generating volume of trades Several new Institutional investors on board including some known names but below 3% threshold. With Inevesco and SG taking morevthere us a lot of support Hope is OK but happy to try and answer any specific questions
