The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
My wife and I have also just returned from AGM, unfortunately a little last due to train cancellation.
In answer to my questions Kiran stated
a] that finance for Amapa to take us 49% is expected to be 60/70% debt and balance in equity.
MRE and PFS were likely to be available "relatively soon".
b] There were no specific projects in mind which would require any immediate cap raise--we have just
authorised £1m nominal increase in share capital.
c] The shipping of the stockpile of ore from Santana will commence when there is a profit margin of at
least $20 per ton. Even though shipping rates have come down we are not there yet. We are not under
pressure to repay bank creditors for time being.
A great shame more shareholders were not present as Kiran and Andrew were very willing to remain after
meeting and discuss any aspect of the company with those that attended.
@Gino I agree with what you say.
I have "traded" by purchasing a few more today in the hope of making personal gain.
Isn't that how it is supposed to work?
@observer842 For your information [and others] my wife and I will be attending AGM on 11th Aug.
I am certainly not seriously worried about a hostile bid, I am putting forward that in my view it is a
distinct possibility at this present sp. I will raise a question on that very topic at the meeting.
@observer842 Sorry to be devils advocate but I believe blessing or not of BOD would make
much difference if majority of shareholders were showing gains of say 50%+.
BOD only control small percentage of share capital by direct ownership. Also what input would they
have to offer on Sonora development to add to value?
Money Talks!
@observer842 whilst I agree we are incredibly oversold, I note you are valuing Sonora jv's
at £30/100m.
If I were standing in Ganfengs shoes, paying that price would not make commercial sense.
Those valuations equate circa 30p to 100p per kdnc share.
Do we really believe that the majority of kdnc shareholders would hold out for higher price if a hostile
offer of say ,for example, 50p per share was made? Personally I think not.
All purchasers over the last few years would be in profit, I thus think kdnc is vulnerable to a bid.
Just a pragmatic comment!
Why would Gangfeng pay £70/100m for our jv's in Sonora when they could make an offer
for all kdnc shares at say, 3 x current sp which would cost max £60m?
They would then also be buying in to Amapa/EMH at no cost--makes commercial sense to me.
After all they have previous with Bacanora.
Evening Barksy, yours is the first post that is not filtered for me since 1.30pm today.
Filter button strongly recommended. No doubt some wayward soles will comment
but no matter, once filtered, always filtered.
I do not see that we are in a closed period for Director deals at present.
This would appear to be a good time for the new CEO to show "skin in the game" by a share purchase.
I have been adding of late but my confidence would be reinforced by some Director purchases.
Putting their own cash on the line would be a great boost to the sp.
@Observer842 I have been keeping note of dealings in last 3 weeks or so. It seems like a pattern
emerging to me. Most decent sized buys have been met with sales--my rough calculation of sales
[those in round figures in excess of 30k] total over 2m in that time.
Just seems like the normal pre-sale on AIM to a dilution in prospect.
@Bannor, I am with you on this: reasons for constant selling:
Forward selling --usualy with pre knowledge of cap raise pending.
Reduce market cap to make below asset value offer --a la Bacanora.
Distress sales--although I would expect a deal could have been arranged as sp has been forced
down for a few weeks now imo.
Which is most likely?
@observer842 As the Test Match appears to be drifting out of our grasp once more, I have just looked in
and welcome your return to contributions to this BB. In recent weeks many post have been filtered by me.
On Sonora, I have since Ganfeng involvement expected them to acquire our jv's. As has been stated if the
Mexican Gov had not tried to play their Nationalistic card I think they would have bought us out already.
A small price to pay by them for complete control.
I have followed developments in Amapa by looking in at local news. All very positive and much support from
State Gov and population who welcome the prospect of increased employment in the area. The political will
is certainly very supportive of our rehabilitation plans.
Great news for all shareholders. This converts a future [many years ahead] possible profit into a
tangible equity investment. HAS does have current development plans and is in the right rare earth
commodities.
Well played CAR3Y, pity the moaners on this BB did not take on board your confidenence.
