This Directorate, with note no. 24195 of 09.10.2024, requested ACEA S.p.A., the current Concessionaire and Manager of the Bomba dam, to represent any reasons preventing the start of the mining activity in question, based on the hypothesized subsidence, knowledge of the state of the reservoir and the characteristics of the plant as well as the results of the recent seismic assessment of the Bomba dam.

With note no. 25994 of 24.10.2024, the Manager ACEA has confirmed what was requested by the undersigned Directorate. The note of response does not state any reasons preventing the Manager from starting the mining activities.

Having said this, - Having examined the documentation presented on 04.09.2024 acquired in the protocol of this General Directorate no. 21069 of 04.09.2024 - Noting that the development plan for the Colle Santo gas field has been subject to significant changes by the Company in question, aimed at allowing a significant downsizing compared to the development plan presented in 2004; - Considering that in the worst-case scenario the maximum subsidence values ​​at the country level are equal to approximately 3 cm near the dam; - Taking into account the results of monitoring the dam's behavior during the operation and the results of the inspection activities;
