The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
I agree - Scallywag has to be the number one priority for GGP. Looking at the geology and the old drilling results I think there could be another outstanding find in that western area.
If the Newcrest Havieron drilling finds that the mineralisation runs close to the Artemis border then this would be a very attractive low cost opportunity. Artemis are not well financed so they could struggle to drill all the deep potential targets they have lidentified.
As we have all been speculating about possible future scenarios, I thought I might as well add another one for consideration.
Artemis Resources are a tiny company (less than 1/10th ogf GGP’s market cap. They hold the land adjacent to GGP’s Havieron area, to the south, north and east. They have identified a number of drill targets from aerial surveys and will start deep drilling soon, once they have the necessary permits.
Given the outstanding results from GGP/Newcrest drilling and the close proximity of the Artemis targets to the Havieron mineralisation there is a good possibility of further significant finds by Artemis It would be relatively inexpensive for either GGP or Newcrest to acquire the rights to the Artemis area (600 square km). The price would obviously be much higher if and when any fsignificant finds are made.
I am very heavily invested in GGP, but I also have made a couple of investments in Artemis as I think there is a good risk: reward ratio here.
What do you think chaps?
Artemis have an ore processing plant in West Pilbara so if they do discover something major from their current drilling efforts near Havieron they are well placed to exploit it. Compared to my GGP investment my allocation to Artemis is tiny but still very worthwhile.
I have bought some shares in Artemis on the basis that they border GGP on 3 sides. There is a good chance that Artemis will discover something major.
I have been investing in single malts in cask for several years through WhiskyInvestDirect (run by same company that runs Bullion Vault). Reasonably good returns (approx 8% gain per annum). However I am now selling some of my whisky to buy more Greatland shares.
He sounds very calm under the circumstances!
I have done exactly that this morning. I have doubled my position!
I have just bought another 700,000 shares. Had to liquidate a few other positions quickly to release the cash.
Excellent results reported today. But for the concerns over the impact of the virus the sp would be higher,
Thanks RobinHood. That is a really interesting article. It does seem to confirm that Ilika are on the right track.
I have topped up today.
Great set of results this morning. This business is substantially under valued, so I expect there will be a significant move in the SP.
There is certainly a moderate up trend from the October/November lows. When it does break out I think it could move back up to around the 150 level
The 20% drop yesterday was a surprising over-reaction to the update. I was happy to top up on the dip. 8% rebound today.
I am not expecting a major announcement in the short term. I am happy to be patient, because the potential upside is huge if a major battery user decides to adopt the Ilika solid state solution.
Quite a hefty drop today in response to the H1 figures. I suppose some holders just do not have much patience. As far as I am concerned the various projects are moving in line with expectations, and I am happy to top up at these levels. The business is slowly moving towards break even and once major volume starts they will move into substantial profits.
Very informative Equity Development video with the CEO posted today. He comes across extremely well.
I have subscribed to Research Tree. Lots of very good up to the minute content.
Also interesting to see that the CFO has more than doubled his shareholding over the last 12 months.
Very interesting constant growth in SP. It has pretty much gone up in a straight line since October. The strategy of moving into more complex, higher margin products is clearly paying off in a big way, I was very impressed with the investor presentation that they made earlier this month.
It is my biggest holding! I didn’t plan to go in so heavily initially, but there is clear evidence confirming considerable upside. Gold seems to be consolidating after the recent sharp rises, but I think it will resume its upward trajectory fairly soon,
I would be very happy with 145. I think the ID business is likely to become significant as at the moment most banks have a massive security gap in their mobile access systems.
