RE: Results……and return of the divi16 Nov 2023 18:44
@ TheMoneyShark.
I had to get something wrong, so it may have well been the dividends.
What would you call modest? The last time a half year divi was paid out, was it about 6p? So, let's say 2p this time. Would you agree? So, your original investment at 5 quid (ish) has yielded you about 0.4%. Well done. I'm glad to see that you're p*ssing your panties with excitement. Plus the share price is 50% down on your original investment. You do realise that you can now get 5% interest, with easy access, from most banks, don't you?
Anyway. I think the divi is a good thing going forward. And i'm pleased for the majority.
Regarding the sickness agenda, that you and others keep banging on about. The new sickness policy kicked in at the beginning of October. Any liabilities for deductions will be taken in January 2024, and on rolling basis. I think the maximum is 50 quid per week. How this stacks up on a weekly / monthly basis is anyones guess. I actually think it's a good thing. People do take the p*ss. But in all industries not just RM. You'll be pleased to know that i have an exemplary sick record, so this will not affect me.
