About 10-15 years ago the annual leave ceiling was reduced from 8 to 4-6 staff in November. The last week in November was also removed as an A/L pick.
So the "post early for crimbo" has been covered. The peak has been spread out, but the crimbo letter and packet volumes aren't great. IMO. Having said that, January has been heavier than normal.
@ TheMoneyShark. The entire paragraph from your post, not just selective to suit your BS narrative.
""""""‘Older workers don’t want to do the walks, but the business model assumes a certain amount of overtime,” says a source. “The problem is the workforce is skewed older and they don’t necessarily want to take the overtime."""""
See the overtime bit? Why would i want to do overtime when i don't need the money. I accept that i will clear everything i take out, and if this takes me over, then so be it. It's called commit to deliver. Today i booked 11 minutes overtime.
You really are a boring idiot, with your anti-postie, anti old postie rhetoric.
@ Takayama
In my opinion, crimbo wasn't all that. In the past week it would appear volmes are up. I doubt very much that this will negate the drop in letters and parcels in the busiest time of the year though.
My price target is 120p, unless there is reform to the USO. And i haven't heard any new news on that front. I can see a steady decimation of the share price, at least until the crimbo figures come out in about 3 weeks.
@ TheMoneyShark.
Do you actually have any idea what you are talking about? Are you suggesting that overtime is a requisite of the job? It isn't, and never has been!
And as for the """If posties are delivering fewer letters over greater distances, it may not appeal physically.’"""" part. It doesn't matter how many letters you have or how many miles you have to cover. You are paid to a certain time. So, if you are requested to walk a million miles in that time, and the time allows you to, you will.
You really are stupid.
For clarity, and this is for you only. RM cannot force anybody to work over their time. Despite what the guardian say.
Down again today. I hope you weren't "topping up" at 280. Or should that be averaging down? LOLOL.
@ TheMoneyShark
Since your original creation, you have been on this board arguing with everyone, including yourself.
You have stated many times that you have traded this share, and also shared your "good fortunes" on many other stocks that you are apparently invested in. And, you have a thriving business. Much of this BS that you spout, may have come under your previous guise, angrysharkz. I can't be bothered checking. But please feel free to go through your 1000 odd posts under your current moniker, and see for yourself. Or, indeed check your previous account.
How long before you respond? I give it 15 minutes. LOLOL.
@ TheMoneyShark
""""That’s why natural selection chose you to deliver parcels. Lol.""""
And this is why natural selection chose you to post here every waking minute, of every single day. Despite the fact that you make fortunes trading. Despite the fact that you run a thriving business. You still come on here to engage with the lazy, militant, workshy plebs. I'm happy to engage with you. I'm doing my bit for social care.
@ Broch.
15 minutes? Nice one. My manager hasn't shared the good news with us yet. I have read on FB, that some offices receive their last run 1hr 30 minutes later. I'm still not sure how this is meant to be productive. I cannot wait for my new start times. I will share for here, for anyone that's interested.
@ Oli G.
The two year rule is still in force. But as you know, many managers were paid for VR, some up to 100K, and then re-employed under a different title. They are still useless, but back under the RM banner.
All i know is that new starters are Wednesday - Sunday, 30 hours per week. RM are also employing Sunday only staff. But, the amount of Ryde agency staff has gone up significantly.
@ Elphi.
I'm waiting patiently for a quid 20p.
@ TheMoneyShark
If RM want to throw money at posties as well as mangers, why shouldn't we take it. Managers have been taking plenty ever since i've been employed. Now, if i was allowed to leave 2 hours early every day, and get a 60% payrise over two years, then i'd know what it's like to be a manager. FWIW, nobody in my office will get either payment. The "happy days" comment was very tongue in cheek. You just cannot help yourself.
@ Oli G. 2 x 250 quid clearance bonus. 2 x 100 quid crimbo bonus. I'm not sure what the second 100 is for. Hundreds of extra staff including "Ryde" agency staff. 1 day Sunday recruitment is in full swing. I can't wait for the figures in a few weeks time.
@ Elphi. I'm waiting for a quid 20p.
@ coffeecups.
Totally agree. They'll get their certificate as and when funds have been paid. Shares have been forward sold and will fund BMN in the near future. Not a bad result, if this is the case.
@ hxul
Or not, as the case may be. And if not, why not?
@ CoffeeCups.
This would not be the first time any stock has been forward sold, in lieu of an equity raise. I don't really think this is the problem. More concerning for me is that SPR haven't paid for their stock. Even though the RNS says BMN will receive funds this week. Until they do, it's still a bit in limbo.
I'm actually pleased that the RNS was released, and the subsequent buying at lower levels.
When were BMN meant to receive the $12.5M from the equity raise? I cannot find a definitive date.
@ BrendyBoy
Well done for getting your bonus. I'm not sure how it's 500 quid though, as i believe 250 quid was a clear unit, and the other 250 quid was for national clearance. Which clearly didn't happen. If you do get the extra 250 quid for national clearance, that would mean that i get it too. Happy days.
I hope that you and your workmates booked plenty of excess overtime to achieve clear office policy.
@ Sid786
"""Is to possible for some post codes not to get mail for weeks"""
Not in my experience. Managers "should" manage any possible delays. Whether or not they do, is a different story. Probably 5 days, in my office, is the maximum i've seen. This is why these huge frames are being trialled. The idea is that each person moves along to another part of the frame on a day to day basis. Thereby mitigating failures to one day, in theory.
@ TheMoneyShark.
I prepared myself for IA. I never said any different. And if you read my previous posts, i have done since. Not recently, but i still have my IA fund, in preparation for next year. Earning 5% with easy access, at the moment.
You first bought shares in RM in in November 2021 at about 450p+. What did you do to mitigate the negative sentiment surrounding RM? NOTHING!!!!!! You didn't even average down in a company that you actually believe in. How thick are you? Apart from talking up Daniel K, you find yourself in an ever increasing, loss making company. And you'll find out the true extent Jan - Feb. Take it from someone on "the inside".
@ Time2Kill.
I measure the volumes with overtime paid out. Pressure or absence. Are your overtime payments far excessive of where they should be? People working days off. Duties on overtime. All this balanced against vacancies, loans and sickness etc.
@ TheMoneyShark.
About 1800 quid through IA? WOW. That really hurt me.
Of course, you do remember the strike fund i built up, don't you? I can remember booking 20 minutes overtime per day, on some days. As well as other bits of overtime, in eager anticipation of IA. Yep. Those losses really hurt me. Not to mention the thousands of pounds i made out of my freebies, share incentive scheme and, of course, my inside knowledge, that allows me trade. And make thousands!
Enough about me though. How much are you down, BOY? Answer the question!
@ Redceo.
There is always a delay as the underpaid item has to go through revenue protection.
When the postage deficiency is corroborated, it will then filter through to the relevant delivery office, for processing. It is booked in through our internal systems, and a reference number and label generated, attached to a grey surcharge card and put out for delivery the following day. Depending on whether or not that duty could lead to further delays, on when the recipient actually gets this card.
It should take about 3-4 working days. From receiving the item in the network, to the grey surcharge card being received.
