Some good news from me.
The volumes today were very high, IMO. Not in comparioson to last year, but surprisingly high. Letters, cards and packets. Something that i did not expect a day before we finish. I have heard that tomorrow is going to be as lumpy, at least.
I hope that this is due to a very last minute rush, and not because the powers that be, have f*cked up.
440 quid losses in just over 2 years. I know that these losses hurt you, as you are not as well off as some. But don't blame anyone else. This shows through the vitriol in your posts, towards some. Well, everyone.
@ TheMoneyShark.
You've had divis, i know.
The special divi was 20p per share, the interim was 6p per share. Paid in January 2022, paid on the back of my hard work during covid. Add in another 13.3p per share final. In case you're are not folllowing, that adds up to ermmmmmmm, 40p per share.
So lets assume that when you first bought, you have gone in "heavy". That's about a thousand quid to you. 450p per share, and i'm being generous, amounts to 230 shares. Multiply by 40p = 92 fu*king quid!!! (Even if you had invested 10 grand, that would yield 920 quid.) Plus your investment price is down 40%!!! You probably used DRIP, and used your earnings to invest again at 4 quid. So your original grand + divis + drip = about 1100 quid? About 390p per share. Or 280 shares. Selling value = 780 quid. This is where you tell everyone here, that you bought in much lower as well, and have been trading the highs and lows. Probably following Teslos advice. Or that you're a long term holder, and the fluctuations at the moment don't matter.
Divi's, DRIP, loser???? I think this share was made for you.
@ TheMoneyShark
Good grief. Stupid and In denial. The worst kind of loser. If you do not understand the context of the post, there is no helping you. And you clearly need help.
I would sooner make Teslos 10% profit than your obvious losses from 5 quid down.
@ TheMoneyShark.
You're being very selective. No surprise there.
My post yesterday @21.31.
"""""If RM delivered 2 billion parcels last year, and the results this year showed delivery of 1 billion, that would not affect the share price? This is what you're saying, right?
If, RM losses are factored in until Q4 2024, then what should the price be? In your expert opinion.""""
To make this even simpler, Simon. What do you expect the share price to be post results? Higher or lower than here?
And another simplistic question, which i've already asked you, the investing guru. Are you saying that RM parcel volumes, that nobody knows about, including the hierarchy and the markets, will not affect the share price in any way shape or form? Up or down!!!!!
@ TheMoneyShark
""""You must be a riot on a night out."""""
You spend so much time on this board, you don't know what a night out is?
Maybe you do. When Oli G, Phunt, Teslo, etc reply to your posts. Oooohhh! You party animal.
But i don't think so. You've lost your jobseekers allowance on IDS. PMSL.
@ TheMoneyShark
This is getting really difficult. Let's start at the beginning. When did i categorically stae that parcel volumes would be down 50%?
We'll take this in baby steps. I get that you have difficulty understanding. Your losses must be heavy, and you are obviously weeping. And therefore cannot read my posts properly. Dry your eyes baby, and read my posts properly.
@ Broch.
DPR's are already a thing of the past. Another failed management objective because they haven't got the knowledge to carry these things through. And whilst the DPR's are not "a thing", the USO will not be going anywhere.
I can guarantee you that DPR's can work. It's about how you manage them. Start and finish times. What they are supposed to be doing. And most importantly, what work should be done for them prior to their arrival.
@ Phunt
"""You haven’t been out the house in 2 years to see an Evri van.""" This started me off!
Oli G.
""""Phunt, what are you talking about? I go out Evri day?.....lol""""
This absolutely killed me. LOLOL. Come out of retirement and go on stage.
@ TheMoneyShark
""""So you’re saying parcel volume is down 50% this Christmas? And you know that by looking in your office?""""
I never actually said that, did i? Do you really need me to explain? I will.
"""""" IF """""
Now do you understand?
Jesus. Don't argue for arguments sake. You make yourself look even more stupid and desperate than usual.
@ TheMoneyShark.
If RM delivered 2 billion parcels last year, and the results this year showed delivery of 1 billion, that would not affect the share price? This is what you're saying, right?
If, RM losses are factored in until Q4 2024, then what should the price be? In your expert opinion.
@ Oli G.
Seidenbergs plan at the moment is not to appoint another totally usless RM CEO. That saves about 1.5M in wages and bonuses.
I also understand that he favours once over the ground. So, all the DPR's that were put in, will soon be taken out. Another pointless exercise. And i thought we were a parcel company dleivering letters. The hierarchy run around like headless chickens. They are too scared of decision making, for fear of failure and ridicule. Make a plan and stick to it MS. It really isn't difficult.
@ TheMoneyShark.
So, if you think that crimbo volumes will be down, do you think that the price will fall because of this? Or do the crimbo figures have no bearing whatsoever on the share price?
@ OliG.
I've been told that the agency staff are being sent home early. I've also been told that to utilise our actual employees, mail is being sorted by hand, as opposed to being put through the machines. That's todays info.
I keep saying that visuals aren't what they appear to be. Forget about what i see in my office, but when you have a dozen plus MC workers (i include managers) telling you that volumes are down, who are we to disagree.
Unless of course you are TheMoneyShark. Who is always right. The God. The Guru.
Maybe the company ticker should be TMS.
@ TheMoneyShark.
Calling you a boring loser is a statement of fact, not an insult. I will apologise if it appeared that way. 99% of posters here think you're boring, and you are heavily under here, which makes you a loser. Hence: "BORING LOSER". I knew you'd have difficulty understanding. I'm happy i've cleared that up for you.
I don't actually believe i've told investors what to do. I have pointed out what i see "in my office" and about things in my local mail centre. I will reiterate again that volumes are down, in my office. Bulk is up, which gives a slightly misleading guide. Now, this is interesting. I have been told by my manager friends and staff alike in my local mail centre, that they have NEVER seen it so light. Mail is being moved to Daventry, but it still comes back to the parent MC. Who am i to argue with these people? When i am seeing the same.
I cannot wait for the next update, end of Jan, early Feb.
@ The Money Shark.
I was replying to telso, not you. So, if he was to ask, i'll reply.
Now stop engaging with me you boring loser!
Go and find yourself another friend.
@ mike1974.
Unfortunately this is how it works now. All delivery staff will have to accept that "going the extra mile" is no longer worth it.
More revisions coming up next year. I'm looking forward to them. Sooner or later the very well paid hierarchy will have to stand up to the plate. And i'm not sure that they will be able to. More management sickies, but of course this doen't matter.
The blue collar worker will be the master of his own demise. Despite increasing workloads, you will still have the early starters, runners, and overtime hitters trying to rob the company of time. More fool them. I learnt my lesson many years ago.
@ PostmanPorsche
"""Evri are superb where I live. The delivery man set up his own Facebook page for the town."""
I assume that this means that recipients of items can contact him/her, personally, and request delivery on certain days, times, delivery points? Absolutely fantastic, for somebody who is self employed. Obviously, the downside, is when he/she is not working through holidays, sickness etc. They are paid per item, so why wouldn't you.
Would any RM employee do this, when they know that efficiency brings more work for the same pay? Nah.
Could RM do this via the pda, in line with business transformation?
Fair lay to the EVRI driver for maximising his earning potential.
@ telso.
Your posts from yesterday had me in tears. All recommended and a great pick me up for man flu.
@ mike1974.
Your efforts were not unappreciated by the people you delivered to. RM have now decided to exploit this in the fullest. Hence, bigger duties. RM cannot keep loading up duties and expecting the blue collar workers to clear, within their. Breaking point is pretty much here.
Paying staff through their pda's is becoming the norm, overtime wise. And when it is adopted completely, that's when you will see the real issues arise.
Let's see if the management can step up to the plate.
@ coffeecups
The dam has been a constant problem. It's good to see that there is a staged process to improve it. All these things, will ultimately make a huge difference.
@ HarChris. FM was running before he could walk. I'm certain he got swept up in the euphoria associated with the huge V increase in 2018. As did a lot of investors at the time. Let's not forget that in 2016 BMN was an iron ore play, only. CC is now in the process of taking us back to basics, but with V. FM had his fingers in so many different pies, i'm sure he had 4 hands. And that's not meant in a derogatory way.
These prices can stay condensed for 2 years as far as i'm concerned. As long as there is no further bad news. I'm hoping, that as a pensioner now, i and everyone else will see the fruits of CC's labour.
