Feb KPI's10 Jan 2026 16:24
I assume as PM has confirmed breakeven for December 25 that means they must have a good indication of what the KPI's are going to be by now and therefore must be pretty confident that auto will be 700k and fleet will be £6k as they said several times that that is what is needed to get to breakeven.
Or if fleet is slightly lower then auto has over performed, but either way there shouldn't be any disappoint come February, in either the KPI's or trading update.
So what's next that will get this SP moving north again quickly? Yes we have all the medium to long term stuff like aviation and robotics but what's going to really convince investors to dig into their large pockets in the short term i.e. up to June
Obviously strong KPI's in May - auto over 1m for a start and hopefully by some way, but I think a lot depends on contract wins.
I must admit I am still disappointed with the level that has been announced. We have still only had one announced worth more than 100m (VW) in auto, where are all the large contract wins? I'm hoping the Japanese development project announced last year will get turned into a contract during Jan-Mar and I would like to think it would be worth close to 100m
Other than that the other 2 announced before xmas were pretty insignificant - one was for just 1.5m and not until 2028 and the other was for 15m which over 5 years is also not going that much.
So where are all these substantial RFQ's (both substantial in number outstanding and value we have been told) - when will we get some significant benefits from all these great collaborations with Valeo, Magna, Texas, Qualcomm
On the fleet side I was even more disappointed at the end of last year. We were told in October that 2 were in the final commercial stages - a large US and a large EU company. Ok the US one was announced, but again at the moment it is a poultry 1,100 units. Yes I know they have tens of thousands, but what is the timeline on those, are they even going to be implemented or is it going to be another Shell scenario? And where the hell is the EU contract, the 18,000 contract that had a 6 week trial (yes I know it has been delayed due to unions) and development with the 20 outstanding trials.
It's a little disappointing to here them quote 6,000 units for qtr 3 as that suggests none of these 3 large contracts are really going to deliver anything for the next 3 months.
And what's even more disappointing is the EU commercial market is of a significant value that also needs DMS by July 2026. What is happening with Daimler Truck, Volvo Group, Traton Group, PACCAR, Iveco Group - why isn't PM talking about these huge opportunities?
If we aren't winning contracts with these large fleet companies, who is? and why didn't we get the business if someone else has. Surely with gen3 it will be a massive own goal if we don't get at least 2 of the 5 mentioned above and then we are talking significant volume and not 6,000 units a qtr
