VAST will come good sooner then you think29 Sep 2023 15:35
With all AIM shares must look closely at the evidence that is in the public domain and work through the information logically to determine most likely outcome. Do not let yourself be led astray by conversation as this is a distraction from the facts.
Occam’s razor is a tool for shaving off unlikely explanations. It presumes that the most obvious outcome will likely happen.
The evidence regarding BP suggests they have ramped up from 1 mining shift to 3. Outcome- It seems likely that they will produce more ore to a factor of 3.
BP reached break even in June. Outcome- one would assume that they would now be in profit. Regarding the miners being paid. Outcome- It seems likely they were paid from copper sold. I conclude that BP is now profitable and money though tight will be sufficient to fund VAST going forward. This also make it likely that refinancing will not be problematic moving forward.
Regarding the diamonds. There is nothing in any of the RNS’s and issues to suggest that this process has come to an end. In fact, the country has been stated many occasions. Conclusion- an amicable solution is being worked. We know that Zimbabwe authorities and due diligence processing has been slow. My understanding of this is that the monies from the diamonds will arrive at some point. The exact date is unknown. What we do know is that 6 months have elapsed. Conclusion- They should arrive soon. The reason I believe the diamonds will arrive soon is because AP has inferred this in interviews.
BP has been increasing production month on month. AP has been pretty good at updating us on BP. Conclusion- Q3 will be the quarter where we get close to or reach nameplate capacity. AP Also said that vast will be okay without the diamonds. I don’t believe that there will be a placing at this time as there will be sufficient funds from BP to cover costs.
My conclusion is, don’t panic as there is significant news on the way 😉
we also have the Tajikistan royalty is to look forward to, JV’s and the reinstating of the mining licence in Zimbabwe.
Furthermore, it is not in Zimbabwe’s interest to subvert the process of releasing the diamonds due to international pressure and their desire to cooperate with the international community.
