Who remembers on the rise to 10p the really odd buy sequences of 10m, 9m, 8m, down to 1m that happened on a number of occasions?

Without wishing to start an argument I don’t think describing Angus’s financing arrangement as ‘death spiral finance’ is particularly helpful given that not so long ago we ourselves had our SP pretty much destroyed by the same method of financing and had to put up with on a daily basis trolls reveling in the SP’s decline and taking great joy in sighting the fact that ....and I quote ‘death spiral finance’ was to blame.

With that PR....what I took from it was not so much the numbers but the references to ‘shareholders’ and the awareness about any further dilution an acknowledgment I think many have been looking for.....that was a big positive for me and as a result intend to buy a few more in the morning.

This afternoon it might firm up @1.30 .....I think the seller is still active but I would be very happy with a 3 to 4% rise each day.

The reason it’s not up is probably because one of my terminals is showing 3 x 2 milllion sells @ 1.262 at 09.38 ...plus of course the 3 x 1 million sells

I think one thing is still clear ...the decline in the SP may have at last come to an end and hopefully the bottom reached but whoever is selling is certainly still here.

You continuously say your worried.....I think what’s most worrying is that you spend all your days worrying about a company your not invested in.

Regardless of our expectations for the future there is no doubting that the relentless downward movement of the SP is certainly depressing and of course we have to remember that the further it falls the more it has to recover and the more chance that the people buying in recently will be very happy to offload as soon as it reaches 2.5 - 3p having bagged 100% thus stalling the climb.

I have to be honest and say that I have never known a share on any market that so consistently sheds 2/3% day in day out without any news being released good or bad but one thing that is clear is that their have been chunky sells everyday for more than 12 months and I don’t think it is possible to lay all the blame at Solo’s and I’m now wondering if the £5m placings that we all thought were disposed of in the large trading volumes following the announcement maybe weren’t all cleared and have been dripped into the market ever since which would maybe explain why the seller seems to be happy to sell at whatever value the SP falls to because it’s still a good profit above 1p.....any thoughts ?

I think the share action so far this morning Zoom pretty much backs up what I was posting last evening that until the sellers cleared unless we get some ‘official’ positive news as an SP we’re not going anywhere.

Don’t reply then you don’t have to,....but I will answer your question for clarity and maybe for the benefit of the rest of the board, I’m sorry to disappoint but I don’t have any other ID’s....this is the only one I have on LSE but I’m sorry but you have just reiterated what I have said previously regarding new posters on this board ...in fact I even touched on it with my very first post and you confirm it by saying “less than 100 posts and a neagstive slant doesn’t get a reply” .....very grown up....maybe somebody would like to point out where the negative slants in my posts are?

I think it may be fair to say that a poster such as penguins while obviously knowledgeable does tend to put a negative slant on his posts....I don’t see that I am putting a negative slant on my posts I feel I’m just being realistic, you may choose to wave the UKOG in every post and that’s fine but while I am very positive about the outcome of this company I also recognise that there were one or two things that have gone on in the last couple of years that in my opinion could have been handled better and I suspect that I’m not alone in thinking that.

Lastly I would just say that when Broccoli ( as Heid and Lyn call him which does make me laugh) came over from another forum that at the time had degenerated into bog he was at first also met with some suspicion because he didn’t come over here waving a flag, I actually new who he was from his previous haunt (as did Lyn) and new him to be an honest investor of UKOG who wants nothing more than success for the company but the way his initial posts were viewed were another reason why I decided to refrain from posting at the time.

I would just quantify that when I say ‘ a declining SP’ is maybe due to shorting or forward placing I am assuming that the company concerned is in reasonable shape and that there is nothing untoward going on in the background.

You see that sort of comment is exactly the reason why I have refrained from posting on this particular forum until recently because not only do you get the constant onslaught from un-invested posters insisting they are just trying to ‘save’ their fellow man from certain impending doom but even some fellow investors take the view that if you don’t have at least 1000 posts under your belt you clearly have no idea what you are talking about and you shouldn’t post again until you have ‘wised up’ on how the markets work.Personally I have only been trading shares since 1994 so only about 25 years and but just like life it is always a learning curve and you clearly feel I’m possibly not as wise or as learned in the ways of the market as yourself.

For me this forum is for people to post their opinions, research, facts (hopefully) they are aware of and perhaps even ‘gut feelings’, you felt that because yesterday I posted in my opinion .....’all the the trades from mid afternoon from 1.3440 to 1.3490 were buys and the trades between 1.3175 to 1.3218 were sells and the same picture of a tight spread is repeated everyday’....that I was uninformed about the workings of the market.

No I posted it because I felt that all things considered including the placing of over a dozen dummy trades that was my reading of the market, if you say you were offered the lower spread to buy then I can only conclude that your broker is in a position to offer you a better deal than the two trading platforms that I use, I would also add that in my experience other than shorting or maybe forward placings when an SP retreats in value over an extended period of time its because sells out weigh buys and not very often as you suggest because somebody is accumulating day after day, month after month.

The only thing dragging down UKOG’s SP is the sentiment.....when that changes which I think it will in the not to distant future then hopefully the decline will reverse and we can maybe enjoy a more positive SP and a a less confrontational BB.

Yes I do and they did say something along those lines your right ....but this is AIM and everyone knows (at least I do to my cost) that often companies say one thing but ultimately mean something very different.....as for SOLO who knows if they are offloading or not.....there were other companies that were given shares in part payment as well .....where the shares are coming form I've no idea......but there coming form somewhere.

I agree sometimes buys do show up as sells but usually thats the case when its a largish (not sure if thats a word) trade and is either maybe delayed or placed just below mid spread but I don't agree for one minute that any of those trades this afternoon between 1.3175 and 1.3270 were buys...I did a few dummys as I often do just to try and get a more accurate gage on things and after 14.30 on several different size transactions I wasn't offered anything less than 1.3390.

Why do people keep saying the trades are all blue yet the SP doesn't move, I don't know what platforms you're all using but its quite clear that as an example today all the the trades from mid afternoon from 1.3440 to 1.3490 were buys and the trades between 1.3175 to 1.3218 were sells and the same picture of a tight spread is repeated everyday I don't understand the confusion.

Its annoying with all theses tankers leaving that while the daily trades are generally fairly balanced there is still somebody or some people offloading shares in larger chunks on top in 500,000s, 1,000000m, 2,000000m and lately even larger amounts......and thats the reason why the SP won't shift...and I don't think anything is going to change until we get the positive news with real hard numbers (in the form of an RNS) that we are all hoping this share is due.

Well that was sort of what was behind my thinking Oakleak.....because after the smell it, see it touch stuff at BB if he was going to rebuild his credibility with the wider market he was going to have to be pretty much 100% accurate with the next part of the story.

I suppose I don't have to reiterate how frustrating it is when all of my holdings are having a blue day some 4/5, 7 and even 15% up....except for UKOG which is red, I'm in for the long term and no nearer to selling than I was 6 months ago.....but with SS's continued radio silence (bar the interview) you do have to wonder without 'the eyes' where this SP would actually be.

Its no revelation to say that SS is perhaps not the best communicator or PR guru and I'm starting to think that maybe at the moment he genuinely feels the "eyes" are saving him the trouble of having to 'muster up' info for the share holders....I mean it does sort of work for him.

Company knows of no reason’ RNS…..if this is not another orchestrated drop by the company for yet another placing and more dilution then why no acknowledgement of the situation, I have already stated my opinion that regardless of any other abilities that SS may have he is clearly failing as a CEO, surely for a company that has recently only released positive RNS’s (plus lots of tankers of oil) yet seen their share value decline in the last few months pretty much 100% that should be the very least he does.

If the decline in the share price IS unconnected to behind the scenes shenanigans (and if it is this time someone does need to walk) then why not for the time being suspend trading …I'd be happy with that.

Just for the record it should have read l’ve been a holder since ‘May 16’ not May 17.......yes I was unhappy with the placing for the ‘opportunistic’ funds because if rumours are to be believed (and it was very odd timing) and ukog were complicit then you do wonder what we can believe, my worry now is even with a stonking RNS the share price may rise by 100% to 2.5p but we all know with the way ukog is now traded it will fall back pretty much straight way maybe even as far as 1.6 and then we may be waiting for 9 months for production (assuming licences) before it rises again.
