HSBA Ex Div on 19 August 2021, unlikely to be 420p - 425p next weekend (unfortunately)
Paragon (PAG) Earnings £36 million - Market Cap £1,439 million
Lendinvest (LINV) Earnings £3.529 million - Market Cap £287 million
Can anyone explain how Lendinvest has been valued?
420p - 425p by next weekend would be very much appreciated.
Geowiz - You have been quiet today on GBP, after posting "One born every minute" I thought you would have had more to say on GBP raising another £1 million & confirming the extension of its PEL in offshore Namibia.
Looking back on your GBP messages, I have to say that the one that stands out is where you posted that GBP needed to raise $10 million to undertake the 3d seismic work, what compelled you to make a statement like that?
I'm intrigued as to why you exclusively deramp shares of oil companies, can you enlighten us as to why you constantly post criticisms of GBP, PRD, WEN and even TRP? You told us that you own TRP shares (& Char shares) but in the last 30 days you have posted once on the TRP chat page, surely you have more to say about TRP's capital raise this week?
Events will now unfold in offshore Namibia, GBP has plenty of cash, Total will in due course announce drilling dates for Venus 1, Shell should be confirming drilling dates before the end of this year. Exciting times in offshore Namibia but I know that you won't agree with that statement, all the best to you Geowiz.
GLA.
Apologies for the repeat message, my message of 11:01 today was not showing & now is!
Staffy147 - Global Petroleum is in a much stronger place post placing, £2 million has been raised during the last 4 months, its Namibian offshore PEL has been extended, furthermore, we have Total drilling Venus 1 in the near future and Shell scheduling the drilling of its licenses.
Exciting times.
GLA.
Staffy147 - GBP is certainly in a stronger position post placement, the fact is that GBP has raised £2 million in cash in four months and extended its PEL in offshore Namibia. Note the silence of the derampers, to reiterate £2 million cash in a £3 million MCap which has an extended PEL in a frontier oil exploration region where Majors (i.e. Total & Shell) are scheduling drilling.
I think there is now a strong possibility that GBP will be bought out.

"They have been ‘farming out’ for several years and so far have achieved zip. One more year and that is definitely that". Sounds like you are getting desperate with your false narratives Geowiz, GBP has extended its PEL and clearly has no problem in raising capital.
It is interesting how you claim to own TRP and yet you have only posted once in the last 30 days on that share, even more intriguing is that you don't appear to post at all on Char, another share that you claim to own.
Why would senior management take equity rather than salaries (which were cut by c.25% for UK Directors earlier this year btw) when you have been granted millions of share options and it is likely you will be granted further share options if a farm out is successfully delivered?
The drill bit will now do the talking in offshore Namibia, over to Total and Shell.
GLA.
Geowiz - It is intriguing how much time & effort you spend on rubbishing Global Petroleum, a share that you've told us that you do not own and yet you have only posted once on TRP, a share you claim that you do own. Really puzzling given that TRP have capital raised this week, I would have thought that you would have had a lot to say about that? You've also confirmed that you own Char shares and yet you don't appear to post on that share.....things don't add up with you Geowiz.
I see you've got your dig in about Directors taking shares instead of salary, why would any Director do that when they have millions of share options, furthermore, if a farm out is successful, it is likely that you will be granted further share options.
Today's capital raise draws a line under "GBP is running out of money" false narrative, so what other false narratives are you going to use? Will you tell us Total & Shell have got is completely wrong, there is no oil in offshore Namibia because it migrated to South Africa?
I love the way you continually predict GBP's demise ...."one more year and that is definitely that" and yet GBP continues to raise money and extend its PEL in one of the world's leading frontier oil regions. The drill (Total's & Shell's) will now do the talking, roll on Venus 1.
I agree with you stafft147, let's just revisit today's RNS wording:-
"The work commitment for the upcoming phase of the licence is to acquire and process 2,000 square kilometres of 3D seismic data, a commitment which Global expects to fulfil via a farm-out. This new 3D seismic data would increase the chance of success of the Marula prospect and confirm the prospective resources in the eastern part of the licence, which were announced on 26 January 2021".
So, the derampers on this Chat Page have regularly spouted nonsense about capital raising to pay for 3D seismic work, today's RNS has finally slayed that false narrative.
GLA
I think I can hear the cries of the GBP derampers.....oh dear.
GLA
GBP's sceptics are really upset this morning following confirmation of the license extension:-
"The work commitment for the upcoming phase of the licence is to acquire and process 2,000 square kilometres of 3D seismic data, a commitment which Global expects to fulfil via a farm-out. This new 3D seismic data would increase the chance of success of the Marula prospect and confirm the prospective resources in the eastern part of the licence, which were announced on 26 January 2021".
Let me guess, the sceptics will now concentrate their focus on GBP needing to capital raise. Before they do that, I hope they read the RNS which summarised the last placement.
The Majors will be drilling in offshore Namibia, excellent.
GLA.
Geowiz - as you well know, Shell having announced a farm out with Qatar Petroleum in April 2021 will be announcing a drilling campaign in offshore Namibia in due course. The Majors will be drilling in offshore Namibia, no amount of deramping is going to change that.
Timing is everything, I was asking you when GBP was in the 0.40p's whether you were going to buy, it appears that you might have "missed the boat".
GLA
The oil exploration community will be focusing in on Namibia next month. Total are planning to drill one of the deepest wells ever drilled in offshore Namibia (Block 2913B).
Additionally, April 2021 saw Shell confirm that they had concluded a farm out deal with Qatar Petroleum on their Namibian offshore licenses. We await confirmation of drill dates.
Exciting times in offshore Namibia.
Looks that way, I'm happy to hold.
GLA.
Well said smurfff.
Our resident deramper (for many years) Geowiz disappeared once the share price started going up.
GLA
"Radio silence" absolutely right Shorn, all parties involved in the negotiations (& probably the management team at Arc Minerals) would have been required to sign Confidentiality Agreements.
As an aside, just checked my Contract Notes, bought my first Ortac Resources Ltd shares on 25 January 2011, time has flown by!

I recall the month's of July & August being called "the silly season". People go on holiday, activity levels fall & negotiations slow. There was one trade sale that I was involved in where it appeared that the purchasers side has "downed tools" and "left the job" one summer, it is all part of the natural ebb and flow of commercial transactions.
For the record I worked in the FS industry for 28 years, company sales are commercial transactions which follow a similar pattern / path. Two trades sales & one IPO, they all went through in the end, patience is the key imo.
GLA.
ha,ha.....very good!
Excellent news, I wonder who the buyer is ?
Next week should be interesting.
