This may well be the case, though Unnd completely rejects this established rule of thumb apparently. He's set on $5 a barrel - about the price of a large latte at Costa's.

One of their number valued a barrel of oil at about 45p the other day, so that tells you how much their opinions are worth ! 'm not sure if you can buy the half tins of baked beans for 45p these days, though given how much they know about the stock market that's probably what they tend to live on.

It's unfortunate though that you decided to become an apologist for Adw, as it didn't help your credibility given that he was touting 60 cents per barrel as a valuation.....That's 45p.

Unnd ; I do not believe it has a $1 billion price tag. I quoted someone else's " rule of thumb " valuation which they claimed is the normal way of valuing oil assets.

For the record, I believe that block XX would be worth around $300m. So $300m based on 33 million barrels would work out at just over 9 Dollars per barrel. The valuation though would depend on which figure from the Leap Energy assessment report they decide to go on - it was quite a big spread between 33m and 58m.

I've made money myself trading Met1. It's a good one to trade, but if you bought in at at 55p and then 3 weeks later it was 7p you wouldn't have been too happy....

Master - IMO if we don't get a buyout or a JV, then what we need more than anything is another far more credible exchange to list on. Ideally one in the US if that's possible now that the company is a producer and has an income stream.

AIM is an insane exchange.

Unnd ; I notice that you never mention that Leap Energy estimated block 20 to have between 33m to 58m of recoverable oil. Obviously Leap Energy are an independent, highly specialised company in this area, and their estimates are not ' dodgy ' as another poster insinuated on here earlier today ;

So let's split the difference between the lowest and the highest figures, and call it 45.5m barrels of oil under the ground. And let's take your figure of $5 per barrel, which is £3.75 and about the price of a large latte at Costa. That works out as a valuation of $227.5m.

And I don't think that we will take that resident sage, ADW's valuation of a barrel of oil as 60 cents or 45p. Lol.

In actual fact the MMs are not " making a market " based on the basic balance of supply and demand. Today is a good example of that. With very low volumes they can pretty much do what they like with setting a share price.

So the system is completely corrupt.

No wonder so many UK companies are fleeing the LSE and going to the US instead to list.

Master - doesn't alter the fact that even when there are far more buys than sells, like today, yet nothing happens with the share price. And 27% more buys than sells yesterday, yet a 15% drop.

That's 100% down to the MMs and their crooked ways. If anything the issue is that we are on the wrong exchange. I suspect that if we had £500k of buys today and 5K of sells the price would hardly change.

Met1's share price movement recently is more like the typical kind of volatility between the annual highs and the lows of the share price that MATD used to have prior to it getting the local access permission and then becoming a producer. It used to be like that every single year up to May last year.

It's as though ever since those milestones happened someone keeps regularly administering chloroform to the price action....

Hamm - it's because Met1 is new whereas MATD has been incorporated since 2007. People are always after the next big new thing. There's a lot of cynicism around MATD because of how long it's been operating - though MB was only appointed in late 2017.

£47k of buys vs 2k of sells and virtually no movement in the share price....27% more buys than sells yesterday and a 15% drop.

Has there ever been a more manipulated share ?

I can see that it says this about MB ;

Master - hopefully if they get a JV partner in then MATD will benefit from the addition of their expertise and professional judgement.

What was MB's record like at the previous company he was the CEO of as a matter of interest ?
