A large company will no doubt be able to drill for far less than $1.5m. And complete a well for far less than a total of $4m.

Add to that the possible ability of an oil major to horizontal drill and it becomes a total game changer in terms of rolling out block XX quickly.

Shows how little the detractors know about price action. The MMs often drop the price at 8am straight after an RNS in order to create liquidity in a stock that is usually fairly illiquid. This way they can hit stops and shake a few out in order to bolster their inventories which generally don't hold that many shares. They need them for a sudden surge in demand created by an RNS.

Abzzba ; as we all now hopefully know, the company replied to my email on Friday and said that they are aware of what they called the " hostility" of a few on the LSE board and are " consulting their advisers " which presumably means their lawyers.

I will send another email today pointing out what PPP said about this issue at the bottom of their last RNS. They are intending to pursue people making incessant defamatory comments about their company and its personnel on bulletin boards through the courts.

Don't forget that those who snipe incessantly about the company said that Gazelle would be a dud and nobody would be interested in a farm in.

Anyway, good news about a farm in offer. It was obvious that one was imminent.

Receiving an offer will only sharpen the thoughts of those who may want to buy block XX outright.

Funny how people like Goldielock come out of the woodwork suddenly. Check some of his posting history for other companies and it's full of " it's a pump and dump " " they are going to delist " etc.

These are the kind of people you get on aim bulletin boards unfortunately - the kind of sniping types that other companies have said they are going to unmask with court orders and then presumably sue for defamation.

So we drill and complete two more wells costing 8m and they both hit the same issues as H2 has had. What then ?

That would be a huge gamble, but not so much if a drill costs say a couple of hundred thousand.

Didn't you say that 4m is far too much to complete a well? I would like to know how much PC spend per drill and per completion.

TBT ; I'm not keen on the notion of the company going alone. If they did though they should consider purchasing a rig or two - second hand if need be.

I suspect that wells can be drilled and completed for far less than 4m USD.

And the " complex geology " of Heron makes the costs involved particularly important. Didn't PC have something like a 60% success rate with blocks 19 and 21 ?

Master ; it's something you get with low liquidity shares.

If the MMs don't hold many in their inventories and demand suddenly spikes, then they have a problem. Hitting stops is a low risk way for them to hoover up cheap shares.

Master ; I'm not saying it's right, but the MMs drop the price sharply in order to create liquidity, as they tend not to hold many microcap shares in their inventories due to the risks involved with high volatility, low liquidity shares.

This does two things ; f firstly it hits stops so that they can buy cheap shares ready to meet any demand stirred up by an RNS, and secondly it shakes out those who panic easily.

A classic example was an RNS in 2023, when after finishing at around 3p the previous day, an RNS came out at 7am, and at 8am the MMs marked the price down to 1.8p on the open, only for it to go as high as 6.5p later in the day.
