@retirment, Agree - people move to safe assets - Gold and the Dollar - the pound vs dollar ratio is dropping, gold is on the up. This will look cheap to the Yanks come PM-so they might lift it up again (I might be wrong - welcome to correction)

Grai82, I can't tell you what to do with your money or where to invest. What I can tell you is where and what I have done with mine so as to give you some ideas. I too have done the BTL thing - its a pain by comparision - so now dont do it.

I had 90% in RR as it climbed, but starter to extract slowly as it got around £7/8 - to leave me with about 50% RR. the other I moved in to physical gold/silver (buried in the garden) - 10%, 30% Miners, 20% good quality divi paying stock. I hold some ETF's to diversify wider inc VFEM SPGP etc.

Each to their own - but I would fear butting everthing into RR now - its a great company , but you only need something going wrong on an aircraft engine and it might take a large hit. Hoep this helps :)

Grai82, just checking - so please dont be offended - If your shares are outside the ISA and you want to move them into the ISA - then you have to sell - realise profits - pay CGT profits and then once the remaining money has moved into the ISA - rebuy the stock (so I’m lead to believe). i.e.you can’t just move them

@retirment, i dont care about svend (what he said),, and I dont know or care about you, but I just wish you would move on - youre wanting to retire this year - god knows what youll end up like - if this is how you are now. Just let it go - you've made your point (rightly or wrongly) . Go play in the sunshine, pick yourself up and come back tomorrow with a spring in your step and something new to talk about :)

@retirment, Im curious - why does your life so depend upon Svend writing you a message. I think you need to do some existential growing up. Many on here gave targets (inc me0 and got the figure wrong. I don’t bleat on at people about it - its not that you are bullying, its more the fact that I really feel that I don’t want to be associated with you in any way shape or form when you sound like this child in a play ground. Its disappointing to see an adult - that I have spoken with in the passed - behave like this,,, almost embarrassing mate.
