Not sure of the volumes in the run up to the placing, if the 40m could have been flipped but the run down from 8.5p fully funded to the issuance was clearly driven by something.
Doing so is surely not permitted as anybody forward flipping a placement is doing so with knowledge of the coming placement thus creating asymmetry of information.
Paul has inflicted that on the shareholders once before and delivered nothing, if he has done so again and done so under the cover of claiming a cornerstone investor it undermines his credibility further.
For me, I'm mostly derisked and waiting for the MOU-5 drill in January although don't think it will be Jan.
For the cost of the placing, it's either from cash or the costs listed are gross of the cost of sourcing the funding which then explains probably 6-8m shares being flipped which I'd reckon is about the placement cost £250-400k.
Ironically, what was the cost of perf with guns, G&A during delays and aborted Sandjet in Sept'23 among others. Probably.not for short of the net proceeds.
