Decades is a bit harsh Marvin!! He is 53 i think so not young necessarily but not old.

Met him last year he was fut and well then and doesnt look markedly different now to then.

They do hope to drill in Guyana but at the moment they are at the mercy of the govt somewhat, so anything too presumptuous about the outcome of such discussions likely wouldn't go down well.

Any news that drives interest in Namibia should in time be good.

Im relaxed here with FID on Hammerhead having been taken. However long news takes there will be a unitisation payment to be made and it will be multiples of current Market Cap in my view.

News on Guyana and completion of court process in SA are cherries on top.

For all your prognostications that have proved to be miles wide of the mark, I don't recall any mea culpa coming from you or criticism for PG for his myriad failures. Just a tweak to the narrative to continue the rampathon.

Curious while Graham has more shares than ever if he has covered his initial position with his trading. Easy to say he remains committed with top slice to cover your base. More here should consider that approach as sticking it all on black is replete with risks.

Eco certainly has representation there, so hopefully it is of benefit to them and us being there.

Within their FID, they would need to have considered the treatment of Hammerhead. Looks like there are some good reasons for Guyana to want this to go ahead.

The other thing to bear in mind. If Eco and partners were expecting challenges with permits on 3B/4B is don't think they'd have much interest in expending time getting Block 1 ready for discussions.

Not drilled or appraised but Exxon when they shot seismic also likely took a long hard look at the Cretaceous Iatuk which is beneath Hammerhead on our licence side.

If this is light sweet crude it could save Exxon and partners a pretty penny over blending with Liza oil which is 10-15km away.

Per my post yesterday, that is two heavy crude accumulation with Cretaceous structures immediately beneath them.

The Hammerhead these has been posted by various posters with varying values. Taking 3m barrels a year from 2029 for 10yrs discounted back at 10% p.a. and net $30 per barrel comes out at over £1 a share.

I think Eco has more oil.

When mapping the field, Exxon sought Ecos permission to shoot seismic on the Orinduik licence to get the extent of Hammerhead.

3B/4B will almost certainly have a date before any licence relinquished.

Even if relinquished Joe/Jethro is an Eco discovery (need to pay 6x cost of drilling to secure rights to it if provisions stand when multiple partners on licence and single partner chose to drill).

Also, Hammerhead is going ahead and to my reckoning worth easily £1 plus a share.

Not sure Sintana are big enough but if you look at the success of someone like Apache in Suriname is a more natural partner for the Jethro accumulation, the 170m barrels of ECO is augmented by Jethro Channel, Jethro West and Jethro KW which is c.600m barrels in total. Having the liquidity to also drill into the Cretaceous around Amaila/Kumakka to blend light sweet.

The Cretaceous is 775m barrels (Amaila/Kumakka) and that makes a pretty sweet piece of pie off the licence for anyone with a bit of cash.

With Hammerhead FID, after its appraised big chunk can be debt funded. What's the value of 1.4bn barrels......?

I do believe the litigation has held everything up.

If the contract is clear, litigating it isnt difficult. Im sure no parties wish to enter into litigation in Guyana for quite some time.

They remain in close contact with Exxon from what I understand to the extend of considering use of a Stabroek vessel for an appraisal drill on Joe/Jethro.

3B/4B needs to finalise the judicial evaluation process which is due imminently then there are 180 days until the drill.

The Deepsea Mira will be working on drills in the area but the Nayla prospect is the highest impact of any of the wells being drilled and thus would expect it to be prioritised in terms of drill ship/rig.
