The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
All seems to be developing and moving on nicely. What do you make of the Aussie connection IB ? Given recent developments there.
SCP are in Toronto
Now is there connection?

Northvolt / Galp must be obvious contenders allegedly
From SCP’s LinkedIn. They also go on to listed their advisement on M&A and together with capital raising.
With one of the broadest and most experienced investment teams covering the mining industry, we are a trusted partner to corporate and institutional clients as they engage in financings and M&A transactions. Our enviable relationships, specialized knowledge in the small to mid-sized mining space, and ready access to capital makes us stand apart.
And was that an 850k buy at the end ?
Wouldn’t be surprised to see more soon IB. No accompanying waffle to that appointment. Just to the point. Often such announcements include a brief outline of the brokers qualities / strengths etc and a look forward to etc etc. For SAV they kept it to the bare minimum.
What were we saying about independent broker write up :). By the way signed up to Savannah’s investor communications on their website and had email with same RNS details pop in the inbox at 0713. Good that it works.
I’m greatly encouraged that eventually there is the possibility that on the back of such publicity and attention by the likes of GR and Co, our Continent will also benefit. Nor necessarily by these individuals but by the wider mining community or private equity groups. Time will tell.
When I said rich people

Yes I had seen GR’s Vulcan involvement but tried to hold back on over-egging :) that kind of speculation. It interesting though to keep an eye on her path to building a substantial portfolio of lithium interests along with that newly formed Co Hanrine Future Metals. Also that a Chilean Co is trying to circumvent its State’s intentions by buying overseas in Axure.

Imo however nice it is to see an independent note, we need the Portuguese Government to decide the project is too important to fail and sign up to compulsory purchase of the land. I think there will be a hard core of land owners will continue to tell SAV to foxtrot Oscar. Next we need someone to put up the money in the form of partnership, JV. They have offered up that some news on this by Christmas. It’s all gone quiet on the Aethel front but any offer would need to be high end as a very tightly held 25% would thwart a cheeky offer. It is interesting so see GR’s raid into Aussie Peers, despite the current lower commodity price. A longer term approach is being taken by some very wealthy people along with international mining Cos. I don’t see GR heading into Europe but as the Co said they’ve got 60 interested parties. An increase to the levels of a revised Jorc as you suggest, would be the icing on the cake. Chicken and egg syndrome, which of any of the above with be flushed out first
Thanks IB, you would think someone somewhere would pick up that’s it’s trading at a tenth of Aussie assets.
Just as a point of reference, this was October 4 years ago. Patience has become a necessity. Hopefully this time we will jump the hurdle.

Can we attract a manufacturer? I did read a very old article that in 2019 SAV were in talks then with EV manufacturers. Obviously that never came to anything with the delays that ensued.

Like that analogy IB. There is so much to play for. With the possible payback of investment within around 18 months, this is going to attract some attention. Hopefully the team and new CEO are up to it. The right partner is vital unless they receive a full offer they can’t refuse. Keep drinking the grape and next year Rodderx :)
Apologies IB, it was more a statement from me, given recent events. My text was somewhat jumbled. Azure seem to be the latest in the frame
IB with Al Marian and Slipstream holding almost 25%, there were to absolutely no chance of an opportunist bid succeeding.
One day Rodders :)
