WHAT HAPPENS TO ANY INCOME FROM MY INVESTMENTS WITHIN THE HL FUND AND SHARE ACCOUNT?
An HL Fund and Share Account can be set up to treat income in one of three ways:
Reinvestment: Income will be held within your account and accumulated until it reaches or exceeds £10 per holding, when it will be automatically reinvested, or you can choose your own reinvestment level between £10 and £1,000. Reinvestments are made between the 11th and 21st of each month (or as soon as practicable thereafter). A dealing commission of 1% (£1 minimum, £10 maximum) will apply.
Hold as cash: Income will be held on your account pending your further investment instructions.
Pay out to your nominated bank account: Income will be paid out directly to a nominated bank/building society account. This payment will be made within 10 working days following the end of each month.
The instruction you give will apply to all income paying holdings within your HL Fund and Share Account.
It is not possible to opt for scrip dividends in place of a cash dividend.

Thunder, totally agree this is a no brainer. The boys with their toys and EIG might have caused some movement but thankfully this time round has been massive for me (+32%) so far. Just need to look at the fundamentals and even if NG falls to 300p or even 200p, HBR will be paying off their debt well ahead of forecast and probably by the end of this year. Apart from the fact they have huge ambition and are remembering the shareholder. I just hope SQZ announce similar on 20th September, which is another cash animal.

How Long Do I Need to Own a Stock to Collect the Dividend?

Finally some news. Why so late?

What we need is an interim statement. SQZ are losing their way here. They announced the possibility of a share buyback scheme, which looks perfectly feasible now and they need to give some back to shareholders. People will be asking why didn't you accept the Kistos bid? What are they doing to protect the shareholders. We need to know how good they are for heavens sake!

This is sentiment, BP and Shell both down, everyone else follows. I'm sitting this out and collecting the Divi.

Price cap won't affect producers, their revenue will still be governed by the same market.

By my rough reckoning at prices during H2, HBR are reducing their debt by $6.4m/day, so so far this half they must have paid off approx. $375m which you can add to the Market Cap. right?

I guess its to do with either Directors or Ex directors who have insider knowledge having to be clean and up front about their acquisitions or disposals. Nothing alarming I don't think. Blair is out why not cash in?

I think some machines have been triggered into selling. I really hope the Board regain confidence with their September update/announcement/ interim because this movement does not reflect the state of the company, having said that we had the same with Harbour - look at it now!

The interim should attract more investors as we get closer to the 9th September. It's another 2% which is not peanuts for the big boys in this environment.

Opportunity here for SQZ to attract more investors rather than traders. They are competing with HBR who are promising 50% more in a weeks time:
"Notwithstanding this, our growing cash balance with no current borrowings places us in a strong
position to re-invest for future growth. We have the strength to achieve that whilst also having a
progressive dividend policy. It is the Board’s intention therefore to introduce an interim dividend at
the level of 6p/share at the time of the Interim results in September to complement the final dividend
which would follow the publication of the Company’s full year accounts”.

What a crap day really. Everything down and its going to rain in a bit! Anyway I went through the accounts again and reminded myself of this:

And it made me smile :)

What they need to do is put themselves out there... announce an interim, buyback and concrete investment plans. They can't just sit on a shed load of cash.
