Substantial volume today.

There has obviously been something happening between parties as this activity falls outside of anything run of the mill. What each side gets out of it, who knows. Has there been a period of ‘manipulation’? Who knows.

It may be quite interesting over the coming days/weeks to see whether today’s hyperactivity signals the end of whatever has been happening with a return to more standard patterns. That would be welcome.

With about 11m on the sell side, we may well see someone on the buy side and possibly another holdings confirmation in due course. Can but hope the ready seller is about out now.

And who decides on fair market value? And what would that be at present when, if Osaka’s view of heavy manipulation is correct, it has been within a tight range for quite some time.

Are we expecting a VWAP figure to emerge with a nominal premium?

US support is intimated but not yet outlined or detailed. Can only be positive.

EU support as a critical project? Likely but they are due to reveal sometime in December.

Portuguese Gov, generally positive, but have yet to declare in absolute terms.

The tide might be starting to come in on all fronts - more acceptance locally, more Portuguese ownership, refining capacity, battery manufacturers and hopefully even car manufacturing to help complete the supply chain.

The current downtrodden lithium price is almost an incidental with the positive pressure that is now building up behind the project and at some stage in the not too distant future, investors, if able and willing, might see the latent opportunity that would seem to be in the pipeline.

Holdings RNS . Now over 9%. Not too far to go.

Mr 4p?

Somebody or entity has been squirrelling away a constant stream of shares for a number of weeks now at 4p. Obvious in its persistence but not so large to be dramatically obvious to give anything a kick or wake up call.

Wider recognition of mickk88’s comments below will surely justify Mr 4p’s steady buying in an unspooked dormant market.

No fresh announcements obviously but it would appear that local acceptance is improving substantially, accepting that some will always be opposed, and that the project is well positioned in country, nationally, in the EU and internationally.

When I asked if he thought it was a strategic project and if he did, did he think the EU agreed with him, he broke into a broad smile, answering yes and yes, then referred to the future (Dec I think).

It has certainly taken time and there are processes that need to be gone through but the outcome becomes increasingly certain. If that was one of the objectives of the presentation, then mission accomplished.”

Whether the message is liked or disliked, at least the old complaint of lack of details / engagement/information cannot be levelled against the company with micro meetings for those wanting more information.

2ndphase of drilling sounds as if it is just about to start, not finish, so I wouldn’t expect anything too soon on this front, or many others for that matter

Disappointing at outset but not unexpected and in many ways simply an admission finally that the initial targets were too tight but were being kept in place before this inevitable RNS.

That said I noted this paragraph

“ As previously flagged, much of the input regarding final project design which is required for the RECAPE submission will come from the DFS. Hence its timeline is intrinsically linked to that of the DFS. However, following a recent review of the RECAPE requirements, Savannah has concluded that we can make the submission before completing the whole DFS. As a result, Savannah now expects to submit the RECAPE in the summer of 2025. If the regulator's decision is positive the Project will be awarded a 'DCAPE', which will allow Savannah to complete the licencing process and receive the Project's final environmental licence in the second half of 2025.”

Whilst the DFS may be delayed it would seem not to shunt everything out completely, especially the permitting, arguably the most important part. At the same time it allows further time for any eu funding sources, Portuguese gov moves to develop.

They can only work as quickly as they can in the environment they are in.

In July we had a RNS regarding the Phase 1 drill results, with some of the later ones still outstanding. We may be due an update before long.

As you say Shareitup, the presentation detailed resource upgrades, bringing the quality of definition up to speed for the DFS that is needed.

That said, in the July RNS, I was always taken by the segment on Pinheiro::

“Pinheiro, where 2 pegmatite bodies (the Eastern and the Western), have been previously identified, the results from metallurgical and resource diamond drilling, have confirmed the tenure of lithium mineralisation from Reverse Circulation ('RC') drilling (see 12 March RNS) and highlight the potential for the expansion of the resource”

Expansion of resource….. so not just resource upgrades to look forward to.

For those that can be bothered, an article from a consultancy explaining the CRMA and the position of Strategic Partners. Followed by a very recent posting from SAV detailing the involvement with a pan Eu group Horizon EU Exceeds and a link to their project.

Shows SAVs involvement across the piste in making the MDB project a flagship and meeting as many of the CRMA criteria as possible.

Meanwhile the EC are reviewing strategic projects for the CRMA with the first phase results set for December. Are the options becoming even more limited?

No pleasure taken at all seeing the continuing woes of EMH as their shares slides still further. There were a cluster of battery makers that have set up around the region and they were being heavily tipped as the European great white Hope. The wider lithium market would seem to have potentially popped this bubble, along with a couple of the other hopeful. With RTs Jadar prospects still not at the starting line, there are limited European options.

Meanwhile the EC is mulling over what projects are to be considered ‘strategic’.
