Yes, Chania is lovely and about 30 mins from Maleme. It is where the Germans landed, my Dad found bofors shell still full of cordite when sorting the garden. They lived in a Greek only village about 10 mins walk away. So we did see a bit of real Crete. Maleme is only small but if you want a bit more there is Gerani and Platanias before you hit Chania.

I know the NHS is struggling but when we have a Oxford based company that has products that in the long term can save lives, money and be sold worldwide why doesn't the government invest? We would rather waste it on projects like the HST fiasco.
