I would say all take-overs are confirmed after the board have had job offers in the company taking them over. Actually I have been in companies that were taken over and was given a package to stay. Golden handcuffs. With bonus`s and shares options. It is the norm. Now is Maxwell offering the board nice jobs with a better package? Even without a take-over orders are strong and new super-capacitors are now being produced for orders. All looks rosy and the share price is reflecting that.

Yes that is what they do. I have seen it done and heard it. Often if they recommend a bid it is just after they sealed a package for themselves. Of course that always comes at the end and after they already have a price for a take-over.

Its got to be one thing and this is not speculation. The board has said progress has been made on licensing and patent infringement. Of course its possible neither of those relate to Tesla/Maxwell. That could be an extra. Could be a take-over. Who knows. The price is going up.. go with the trend.
