If we really think about it, what has changed between yesterday and today that has meant this reduction in company value is valid?
FED news? Well, that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that isn't living in a cave. The reason markets crashed in the first place was due to the downturn in economic downturn and the possibility of a second COVID strike has never been off the cards. Now unless COVID does strike again or something fundamentally changes, this reduction of SP is speculative in nature.
Unclear where the low might be, but what is clear is a recent high has been established and unless the world is ending, it won't be too long before we reach the 80s again.
At times like this, you find out if you are true believer of the company or if you're here hoping to make a quick buck.
GLA.
Paul, I completely agree and this is exactly what I stated in my original response to 3300.
I said that without the up to date fundamentals in order to kick the tyre, movement in this SP will most likely be driven by noise trading.
Havingabull, I am merely stating without the latest financial information to calculate the fundamentals, any attempt to draw a range for what the intrinsic value of the business is right now would be impossible.
Let's face it, with the amount of coverage and noise trading going on at AML, the current SP must factor that in. I am not disputing if this is a good share LT or ST (I am a holder of the AML share), I am merely stating pulling numbers from nowhere as to what the SP will be this week, next month is irresponsible and could mislead the misinformed.
Let's not forget the gain in SP in the last few weeks, nor the drop in the last days.
"The car maker’s brand alone could be worth as much as £2.6bn, significantly more than its current market capitalisation of £900m.
These figures imply the shares have a wide margin of safety at current levels. Of course, only time will tell if the new CEO can pull off the impossible and turn this struggling luxury car manufacturer around. However, considering the value of the company compared to its brand, the risk of investing may be worth the reward at this stage. But it may be best to own the Aston Martin share price as part of a well-diversified portfolio."
