It is all good if you buy a share on the slipperly slope IF they turn it round but if you buy and it keeps on dropping or goes bust then you won't win a thing "in this game". It can swing both ways ... so you probably lose about the same or more than you win.

You asked in December why the price was dropping when such a large amount of gas was found and if EME or some other company had found it thier SP would rocket. The gas that FEP has is stranded miles from anywhere and the size of the find needs to be even larger before it becomes commercially viable. Please stop ramping when you yourself do not seem to understand the full picture. Anyone thinking of investing here :- Always do your own research !!!!

I think this share falls into the classic pump and dump senario. A LOT of ramping occured end of september when FEP basically mentioned some old rehashed news and the rampers only mentioned the size of the discovery and not the fact the gas is stranded gas any may not even be commercially viable to extract it. Shame that people can get away with things like that but investors need to check all of the facts before jumping in blindly.

On the 8th December you asked when the drilling results for Primavera are going to be announced. They didn't even secure a rig until the 22nd December let alone get a drill tip into the ground. It's going to be a few months before they start drilling and then a clearer timetable of drill results will be known. The oil business is a slow drawn out process and it seems you need to learn to walk before you can run. If you own CHP shares you need to be a LOT more patient !!!

You put out a post saying that poor management has caused this situation then challenge anyone to make points as to why you should buy this share and on the same post put up a BUY recommendation ????? I don't know what you are playing at but this is one of the most riskiest pieces of crap i have seen in a long time and i question your motives !!

What a mess. I have e-mailed Stuart Leason and he informs me the writing is not on the wall --- YET !! FAO could not raise the amount the required so they are now rethinking things to see what they can do with the money they have raised. There will be announcements over the coming weeks and this looks like it may take a few weeks maybe more to sort out. I hope for mine, and all FAO holders sake, that they can find a way through this. They have very good assets so may do a deal putting them up for collateral on a loan to get then through to first oil.

You made the statement " Having stated a minimum why would anyone want to buy more ?" which shows how little you know about placings and even FAO placings. In June they again stated a minimum price of 1p yet the placing went ahead at 3.25p They have to state a minimum price but it is not like selling a car in the paper with an " or best offer " next to it. Do more research into FAO and placings and THEN try again with your point of view. to all, This placing dragged the SP down 65% from around the 3p area. I feel it is still worth that but after the dilution it will be watered down. I have taken this opp. to average down to 3p and will now hold for the long term. The consolidation may hurt short term but if it secures fudning to take it to production it will be worth it. In my own opinion i should be drawing level around this time next year and if they increase reserves or production rates maybe a little earlier. I wish i had waited before buying big between 3 - 4p but hindsight is a wonderful thing. I now intend to hold for a few years and should see a good return on my investment. I believe that is called being an investor instead of a trader. FAO is definetly not for the short or mid term holder.

I have e-mailed Stuart Leason, contact for FAO, in reference to 75% recoverable costs from the EVO field. In the Placing Circular earlier this year it mentioned that 75% of the set up costs from EVO were recoverable. So far it has spent $99 million and will require to spend another $45 million. That makes $108 million in recoverable costs but it does not mention how and where from. I have done some working out and with current market cap FAO will be able to recover $24 million MORE than thier current total market capital. Certainly interesting times if nothing else !!!

How can a placing at 2p, when this share was recently around the 5p mark, be in the best interests of HML ? It's the same thing FAO is suffering from at the moment ... the lower the placing the more shares required to cover the amount and the more any future potential gets diluted.

It is at about the highest it has been at in 6 months after just going through a 3 fold increase.

If the SP reflected recent playing performance they would have to give these shares away :-)

Read the oilbarrel.com report on the find. It is not as rosy as many make out. I have fell fowl of the pump and dump brigade before and i just think people need to be aware of all the risks before investing here. All people seem to be mentioning is the gas without mentioning it is stranded gas and the amount of money that needs to be spent to get it to it's customer. 500p on this find, Black Monday ? Price per share on this find is a possible 221p ... bit off from 500p !!!! And that is without taking into account the risks involved. All in my own opinion and good luck to any holders.

This share has become a lot more risky recently but i am already heaving in FAO i had to top up at current levels. The market is using the fact that more shares may be issued to cover funding to be able to drop the SP by 40% but at these levels it causes FAO's funding options to diminish with the SP. The ray of light ? I feel is the change of Finance Controller and the section from one of todays RNS's ... "Dr. Sutcliffe, aged 40, is Chairman and Chief Executive of Alexander Mining plc and has more than twenty years of operational and investment banking experience in the natural resources markets. " I feel he has been brought in to look at funding in the way of loans on next years oil production. Like i said i am holding FAO and wich i had more cash to average down at these levels. The european deal took a lot of pressure off this share. If there had been no european deal then if the US deal fell through there would have been nothing to stop this dropping even below the 0.7p level this started its rise at. The european deal is enough to keep it around these levels without the US deal in the mid - long term. The market hates uncertainty and all these delays are giving the market a bad taste in its mouth but that is not neccesarily a bad thing. It just means the market may be slow to catch on this time IF a deal goes through allowing more people to jump on. Either way i feel the main rewards are long term and i have more than enough money tied up long term with shares like FAO. I wish all HML holders well for a good outcome on wednesday.

Maybe people are sick and tired of jumping in and crossing thier fingers on this one after all th delays ??

mumstheword ... yes there was a share consolidation ... see below TRANSACTION IN OWN SECURITIES In connection with the share consolidation announced on 31 August 2006, Marchpole Holdings PLC announces that on 14 September 2006 the Company purchased for cancellation 3 ordinary shares of 1p at a price of 23.75 pence per share. Application has been made to The London Stock Exchange and United Kingdom Listing Authority for 27,206,246 ordinary shares of 5 pence each ("New Shares") arising on consolidation of the existing ordinary shares of 1 pence each into New Shares to be admitted to the Official List and to be admitted to trading. The New Shares are expected to be admitted to trading on 18 September 2006. MrMan, it was not a leap ... infact it looks like shareholders have already lost out on the consolidation already if a 5 to 1 only gets a gain of 386%.

My portfolio really took a huge kicking as FAO is a very large part of it. I did some switching around and topped up more sub 2p. Why ? As i feel there is no bad news behind this drop and it hs been totally overdone. They wanted to panic shareholders and they did but i refuse to sell at these levels. I am holding till at least 6 months after production starts maybe longer. The new chairman has given me a lot of faith back that i was losing in FAO. I e-mailed Stuart Leason and asked why production was put back 6 months. He has said that the new Chairman put in that date as a worst case senario. Reason being, FAO will NOT let the market down again. All targets will now be on the conservative side and so will all production plans. A very good move from what i can see, FAO have let the market down several times this year and the MM's can still play on that distrust. I feel the new Chairman will re-establish the markets trust in FAO. We will have to wait and see.

FAO has been the MM's play thing for a while now. Last week there was 2 days where there were HUGE buys and the MM's kept it at 3p ... i feel this was the MM's using old worries about FAO to balance the books. Yes FAO will be producing oil but now 6 months later than they told the market after they had already put it back three months to production Q1 07. To be producing 7,000 bopd they need to raise ANOTHER $45 million and this, unfortunately, may be raised with another placing putting the share cap at just under 4 BILLION. Worries like that would make it easy for the MM's to manipulate it. This is a LONG term share ... i average 3.45p in FAO and will be holding till at LEAST the end of next year.

Up 1p ??? This share has been up and down between 200 and 212 for a few weeks now. Only when it hits 225p or above can you say it is " on the move "
