It shocks me how little people know what a share consolidation is and they are supposed to be traders and investors. Most think that it is either a mistake or they missed a 10 bagger or so when a consolidation takes place. All you have to do is look through recent RNS's for the answer. 9th April for this snippet
In addition, enclosed with the 2007 annual report, PartyGaming shareholders have
been sent a circular giving notice of an Extraordinary General Meeting (the
"EGM") to be held immediately after the AGM, to seek approval for:
(i) the consolidation of the Company's share capital,
replacing every ten existing ordinary shares of 0.0015 pence each with one new
ordinary share of 0.015 pence each ("New Shares"), including a consequential
change to the Company's memorandum of association (the "Share Capital
Consolidation"); and
