not able to sell shares? can sell shares in all of my other holdings but not this.

Had this exact same thoughts and as this and VAL are somewhat of a small fraction of whats in my portfolio i thought i'd double down on them to see as where they might go..... who knows. Hopefully the only way is up

I have it on good authority that DX management are considering offering DX customers a % off for early payment, just like Citylink did before they went bump, if this is the case it's worrisome. I suppose only time will tell and I'll be proven right or wrong.

Panther is another player similar to breezemount so I know as to why you say that and you have a point although if they got their teeth into DX the first thing they'd do is price correctly and up the price of the freight considerably. I don't think breezemount could cater for the small like you've said. As for interlink/dpd that's due to become one as dpd are buying back all of the franchises. The use of the "car couriers" I think is going to become a thing of the past. Hermes, amazon and yodel have had their dirty ways with these couriers for far too long and the courts are currently looking at cases now where their couriers are taking them to court if they're successful they're going to have to pay out substantially and I genuinely reckon the price of delivery will go up due to it. I think one thing we can both agree on is that DX needs to specialise in something, get rid of the other services which are taking up their financial/operational constraints and focus on being one kind of courier rather than an unsuccessful jack of all trades.

I know one of people who've been laid off they're classed as a sales representative and I can tel you now they're not incompetent. Regarding a merger or them being bought out I do reckon it may be on the cards especially at these low levels. If tuffnells merge with DX I genuinely reckon that's the worst imaginable thing that could happen, of all the delivery companies a Tuffnells/DX merger is the stuff of nightmares. DX bought night freight and it's been anything but a success, the one DX programme proves that. DX prior to taking on nightfreight had a slick, efficient, hard to rival delivery service. Now what have they got? They've strayed too far from what they're best at. Tuffnells... good at big/heavy stuff and truly truly magical at breaking any and all stuff. DX Exchange, their mail services etc they may as well give away for free if Tuffnells merge with them. I've heard from a customer of both DX and Tuffnells and sends large items. The actual response when they complained about Tuffnells service was "well you've used dx and ourselves you know we're the only ones who'll take it". They're shocking. Genuinely in my honest opinion the only way in which DX can save themselves is to bin off all of, or the majority, of the large freight. Sell off all of the 7.5t vehicles used to deliver it all and reinvest it into the small parcel/mail infrastructure. That's what they were good at.

they laid off over 40 people within the last 2 week sales and business development managers included....... whilst you've not lost any money you may be as well to pull out. Feel free to prove me wrong make money where I've lost but unfortunately this time I think I'm right

If you like but i assure you that i know of many customers of DX who send small packets of whats considered "ideal freight" leaving DX in droves just this week. Perhaps its the local collecting depot close to where i live that must be failing, that is hopefully the case. If it's not and its the hub and every depot letting them down this will be a snowball gathering momentum. You can check my previous posts and they're the polar opposite of this I'll be the first to admit I sang a different tune weeks ago, DX simply haven't booked their ideas up I've sold at a loss on them

The amount of shares being bought back to me is a good a sign as any why people should be buying into this company in droves. Forget the headlines, scandals, the plane its a well established firm and its going nowhere. This SP doesn't do the performance and size of this company justice at all.

nowwww. as the song goes I'm in two minds we're just before Christmas and with the SP so low regardless of this being a company which is valued far too cheap I'm wondering as to whether or not slightly bad Christmas trading might send it plummeting and that worries me. Just bad press at the moment with this one.
