RE: Higher-grade gem quality stones/ untendered stones26 Nov 2025 17:49
The bigger players have far more playtime than the PI's core hours, the Yank pi's get 2 hours less than London pi's (09:30-16:00 /UK 14:30) Another myth
the wait for the yanks, the deep wallets can access London from around 11:30 our time and have pre - core - post sessions that cover 04:30-21:00
London 07:00-20:00 can conduct if in a position to do so. The UT at close is the official closing price but Auctions/PME are used to sometimes control
a share, often accompanied by a UT at those times, keeping a lid on, or maintaining a price for a big boy accumulation at a price, not an sp chase.
London Exchange always the correct one, the others not so much, likewise the real exchange prints TRADES with NO LABELS, it's 3rd party sites like
this one rehashing the LSE Exchange TRADE prints, that cause all the confusion with colour codes and BEST GUESS buy/sell/Unknown labels.
Not mm games, hocus pocus, black trades, dark arts......ZERO to do with MM/Market, it just does it's thing, considering all TRADES to be both a
buy and a sell, hence no labels.
Times to note
0700-0705-0710 2 x 5 min PME only seen during world market turmoil
0755-0800 Pre Market Auction
0900-0905-0910 PME
1100-1105-1110 PME
1200-1205-1210 PME as 7am only during turmoil
1400-1405-1410 PME
1630-1635 Pre close Auction
1635-1640-1645 PME
Have seen 7 UT's on a share in a day, when controlling it to feed a friend.
In house exchange PME's use to be reported via the rns news wire, stopped reporting April last year, still conducted but no notifications.
In keeping with the orderly market , often if a share in vogue, would go into auction 5-10 minutes prior to the PME period, then request PME
if required, with an option for a 2nd 5 min PME period.
So far more official auctions daily than most are aware of, as sometimes the use of a controlling UT is.
